One fan of Mojang Studios’ smash-hit sandbox game Minecraft has taken their dedication to the block-based builder to a whole new level, gathering together copies of every version of the game released to date for an impressive picture. An evolving, work-in-progress game right from its very inception, the newest update to Minecraft will add new biomes and mob types when it arrives later this year.

Long before it became a Microsoft-owned international phenomenon, with its iconic characters appearing on everything from lanyards to lunch boxes, Minecraft was just another obscure indie PC title released with relatively little fanfare. Drawing heavy inspiration from the systems-heavy simulation game Dwarf Fortress and the childlike joy of building with LEGO bricks, Minecraft quickly developed a following among gamers as screenshots and videos of players’ impressive in-game creations began to go viral. A series of updates over the years have added new biomes to Minecraft along with new mobs and gameplay mechanics, ensuring that the perpetually in-development game always has something new to offer players.

In a new post on r/Minecraft that quickly racked up over 1,000 upvotes, Redditor KraftyKreeper shared a picture of every version of Minecraft released thus far gathered together for one epic group photo. The impressive photo features the Java and Bedrock versions of the game running side-by-side on a computer monitor, a nearby cellphone and tablet each running their respective mobile version of the title, and a collection of console cases for the various retail releases of Minecraft. Seeing all the versions of Mojang’s smash-hit sandbox title gathered together in one place helps to illustrate just how wide of a reach Minecraft has established in the world of gaming.

While it’s usually Minecraft fan art or interesting builds that draw the most attention on the r/Minecraft subreddit, this photo of the various versions of the hit title quickly caught the attention of the game’s legion of fans. Joking about the size and breadth of the carefully curated collection, one response jokingly stated that “I figured out how Minecraft is the top-selling game in the world.” Other comments pointed out that the post was at least slightly misleading, as the photo didn’t include copies of the game released for Raspberry Pi and the impressively small-in-size Minecraft 4K. Poking a bit of fun at KraftyKreeper’s impressive collection, one commenter quipped that “I thought I had a problem for buying Skyrim five times!”

Featuring multiple releases spanning not only several generations of consoles but also numerous hardware and software platforms, KraftyKreeper’s Minecraft collection is sure to be a subject of envy for some long-time franchise fans. With so many editions of the game available to play, maybe their next project can be to check if all of Minecraft’s block types work correctly across the various ports.

Minecraft is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
