Mewgenics tasks you with taking on all sorts of weird and wonderful enemies as you venture farther from home with your army of cats. As you progress through the different acts and take on bosses and stronger enemies, you'll likely find that some of your cats HP gets entirely depleted. This not only takes them out of the current battle, but also means that they'll be given an injury of sorts. If your cats have injuries and their impact on your combat performance is taking its toll, fear not, as you can cure injuries in Mewgenics.
Mewgenics Combat Guide
Mewgenics is heavily combat-focused, so knowing how to fight is a no-brainer, and this guide will exactly help with that.
How to Heal Injuries in Mewgenics
Injuries can be healed by finding and using the Super Bandage item while on a run. The Super Bandage has four uses before it'll be permanently destroyed, and it can be equipped to any of your cats when going through the 'Items' menu when you're on a run. This menu is represented by a small bag icon at the top of the screen when you're on the map screen on a run, or at home.
Another way to heal injuries is to use the 'Revive' ability in battle. This ability is unique to the 'Cleric' collar, which itself is unlocked after completing 'The Alley' and speaking to Butch via the 'Pipe' menu when you're at home. Equip this collar to one of your cats, and once they've got the 'Revive' ability, it can be used to bring one of your downed cats back to life, restoring 50% of their HP and removing an injury they've sustained.
These are the two ways you can guarantee that a cat will recover from an injury it's sustained. It's also possible that a cat's injury can randomly be removed if they're resting at home and aren't getting into fights, but this is a rare occurrence, and also requires you to ensure that cats aren't in a low comfort room for too long, or in a room with a fellow cat that they're constantly fighting with.
How Do Cats Get Injured in Mewgenics?
Cats can get injured by taking too much damage while out on a run and their HP depleting to 0, and by having fights at home. Cats with a low 'Constitution' stat will be more prone to getting injured, and their post-combat regen is also affected, meaning they're a bit fragile if not handled properly in fights.
To prevent your cats from having fights at home, you want to make sure that each room of your house has a high 'Comfort' stat. If they don't, your cats will be more prone to fighting. Cats can also clash if they want to mate with the same cat (hence why it happens overnight instead). When you notice the same cats constantly fighting one another, break them up and put them in separate rooms of your house.
