In Mewgenics, you take your cats on adventures where they face mobs and elite bosses. To clear battle stages more easily, you’ll need powerful cats, which means breeding the finest units possible. Sadly, your house has limited space, so you can’t keep too many critters at once. Additionally, you also have to manage their hygiene.
Mewgenics Combat Guide
Mewgenics is heavily combat-focused, so knowing how to fight is a no-brainer, and this guide will exactly help with that.
Thankfully, you can expand your house. This not only allows you to keep extra cats in a clean and organized environment, but also provides a private area for producing top-tier pets using the knowledge you gain from Tink. With that in mind, this guide explains how to increase your house space in Mewgenics and get the most out of your breeding strategy.
How to Upgrade Your House in Mewgenics
To upgrade your house in Mewgenics, you’ll need to send Retired Cats to Frank. He’s a creepy-looking builder who shows up at your door the morning after your first combat trip. While he might seem scary at first, he’s actually a sweet neighbor who lives beneath your house. The pipe on the left, where stray cats usually pop up, leads straight to his place.
Frank is also the one who built your home, and he’s happy to help add more rooms if you let him. All you need to do is gather retired units (which you can do by completing adventures) and send the unwanted ones down the line to him. As he says, he needs retired friends “because he’s kind of retired too.” And since you need extra space, this is the perfect upgrade to prioritize.
Just make sure not to part with your top-class experienced cats, as you’ll need their traits for reproducing new kittens.
Here’s a full list of all the upgrades this itchy builder offers, along with their cost and rewards.

Initially, your house only has a big lounge, where you’re forced to keep all your critters, including strays, kittens, and the ones coming back from expeditions. The attic is locked at this point. But by upgrading your house in Mewgenics, you can unlock a total of four rooms plus the attic, which makes the grind totally worth it.
Now, you can pair more cats with high libido and the ideal Base Stats (especially higher intelligence for Mana boosts) to breed overpowered kittens safely.
