The Watery Hall is a room within Metroid Prime Remastered's Chozo Ruins, and it is where players will obtain the Charge Beam. However, fans cannot pick up this important power-up immediately upon entering the room, as it is blocked by a special door. In order to get past this door, players must scan several runic symbols within Metroid Prime Remastered's Watery Hall, and this guide is here to provide details on the precise positions of those symbols.

Metroid Prime Remastered: Watery Hall Runic Symbol Locations

Runic Symbol #1

Upon entering the Watery Hall, players should destroy the Blastcaps on the first platform in the acid and then jump to it. Fans should then simply turn around to face the room's entrance, equip Samus Aran's Scan Visor, and scan the runic symbol on the wall to the right of the door.

Players should now continue jumping across the platforms in the acid, firing at the Reaper Tentacles that look to impede Samus's progress. Upon reaching the third platform, Metroid fans should destroy the Blastcaps on the platform ahead to reveal the second runic symbol on the ground.

After scanning the second symbol, players should continue to follow the platforms in the acid. This path ultimately leads to a wall that Samus cannot currently bypass, and the third runic symbol is upon it.

Runic Symbol #4

Fans should now return to the Watery Hall's entrance and begin climbing the elevated platforms. These can be reached from the raised stone platform that is directly in front of the entry door, and players will encounter several Reaper Tentacles as they traverse them. Ultimately, this elevated path leads to the runic symbol door, and the fourth runic symbol is on the wall to the right of that door.

Once the fourth runic symbol has been scanned, players should simply scan the runic symbol door at the end of the elevated path to open it. Fans can then proceed forward to obtain the Charge Beam in Metroid Prime, which can be powered-up by holding down the fire button and allows Samus to access new areas.

To note, there is a Chozo Lore entry on the wall directly behind the Charge Beam, and players that are looking to complete their Logs should make sure to scan it. There is also a wall section that can be destroyed with a Morph Ball Bomb near the Charge Beam, giving players some incentive to return to the Watery Hall once they have earned that iconic Metroid ability.

Metroid Prime Remastered is available on the Nintendo Switch.
