As players work to obtain the requisite number of crystals, they can claim several rewards that can prove to be useful. This guide contains a list of those Green Energy Crystal rewards in Metroid Prime 4, and it also details the ways in which players can earn this currency.

Metroid Prime 4 players are strongly advised to put some serious effort towards collecting Green Energy Crystals every time they visit Sol Valley.

There is a meter on the left side of the in-game Mission menu that fills as players collect Green Energy Crystals. Initially, that meter fills with green, and players can claim the associated rewards by visiting the Altar of Legacy in Fury Green after hitting certain thresholds. Here are details on those thresholds and rewards, and indeed one of the 100% rewards is required to beat the game:

After the meter reaches 100% green, any further Green Energy Crystals that are collected will fill the meter with blue. If a player collects every Green Energy Crystal in the game, filling the meter entirely with blue, they will unlock several visuals in the gallery.

How to Get Green Energy Crystals in Metoid Prime 4

There are three ways to earn Green Energy Crystals, and they are as follows:

Crystals in Sol Valley

The desert is filled with green crystal formations, which award Green Energy Crystals when broken. Players can break these crystals with Missiles or by hitting them with Vi-O-La, and they should make a habit of doing exactly that while crossing Sol Valley.

Gibardaum Rocks in Sol Valley

Players will occasionally find large metallic rocks near green crystal formations in Sol Valley. These rocks can be destroyed with the Psychic Power Bomb, which is unlocked while pursuing the fifth Master Teleporter Key, and they hold a great deal of Green Energy Crystals.

Shrines in Sol Valley

There are six Shrines in Sol Valley, which give players opportunities to earn upgrades for Metroid Prime 4's elemental shots. There are containers filled with Green Energy Crystals in these Shrines, and players should break them with Missiles.

Here's a map of Sol Valley, with Shrine locations marked:

The Green Energy Crystal Finder, which can be claimed at the Altar of Legacy after reaching 75% green, makes finding any remaining crystals in Sol Valley fairly easy. That said, if a player is not seeing any marks on their radar, they should make sure to carefully check the perimeter of the desert. Additionally, players can make concentric circles that expand out from Chrono Tower until crystals appear on their radar, though that approach should only be necessary when attempting to fill the meter completely with blue.
