The mystery of Kriegante Castle will be one of them, where children are being kidnapped for nefarious purposes, and if you hope to stop more tragedies from happening, you are going to have to beat the creature responsible for it all: Homo Jaluzo.

How To Beat Homo Jaluzo In Metaphor: ReFantazio

After capturing the supposed villain Heismay in Metaphor: ReFantazio, you will soon discover that there is more to this tale than the leaders of the town have let on. Venturing into the depths of the town will reveal a dark truth. A human nightmare is roaming about, and it is the one eating up all the unfortunate children who have been captured by the real monsters that are supposed to be protecting the people.

Preparation for this battle involves choosing the right Archetypes for your party, the skills, as well as some curative items that will come in handy. Beyond your chosen Physical damage dealers like a Warrior/Brawler, if you have already unlocked the Magic Seeker or Magic Knight, those are good choices to go with as well. Consider bringing the Faker to complete the party. Lastly, make sure you have a party member who has progressed the Healer Archetype sufficiently to unlock the Patra spell that can cure status effects. Pack plenty of Sulphurous Salts as well.

Combat Strategy

Given that it is a literal giant baby, it can be daunting to face Homo Jaluzo at first, but you already have everything you need to bring it down. The idea is to focus Physical damage on the boss while minimizing the harm it can do. The Faker's Tarunda support skill will reduce its attack for three turns, and should be cast as much as possible to protect the party. For the rest of your turn, use your Synthesis skills like the Horse-Drawn Carriage or Leap Thrust to deal high damage to Homo Jaluzo whenever you have the MP to spare.

When the boss starts using the Stare skill, it might afflict a character with Daze. This reduces your hit chance and takes away Turn Icons if you miss the attack. It can be removed using Patra or Sulphurous Salts, so make sure you have both solutions on hand. Keep this cycle of pain going, and even after Homo Jaluzo gets healed by his scheming mother, it will make little difference before you finally defeat this foe.
