How to Beat the Elegy of the Soul in Metaphor: ReFantazio

The Elegy of the Soul is the level 75 boss for the 4th and final Trial of the Dragon side quest in Metaphor: ReFantazio. If you've already completed other Trials of the Dragon, simply teleport to the Magla Hollow on the bottom floor of the Dragon Temple.

It's one of the trickiest bosses of the bunch, as players need to maneuver over a few mechanics to land hits on it.

Important Things To Know Before The Boss Fight

Before starting the fight, players should note the following things about The Elegy of the Soul:

Your party must be at least level 70 or above before attempting to fight the Elegy of the Soul.
Elegy of the Soul doesn't have any particular weakness in general. It has access to 8 types of archetypes, and it'll cycle through them mid-battle, allowing you to target the weakness of its particular archetype.

You'll need to prevent the boss from accumulating buffs from various archetypes by resetting its stats with the Amnesty Talisman or rebuffing it with archetype skills. Once it cycles through different archetypes, try to target its weakness to deal a significant amount of damage.

Try to cast magic spells, but stay on the offensive front to continuously deal damage to the boss. Try to step back if you're receiving critical damage to heal up. Your battle strategy will keep changing depending on the archetype-switching mechanic of the Elegy of the Soul. However, once you learn its pattern, the battle will become much easier.
