Metaphor: ReFantazio gives players a lot of freedom in which party they choose to use, as you can switch your party just about whenever you want, even when in combat. Each party member can equip any of the main Archetypes, though each party member has some Archetypes that are better with than others thanks to their base stats.

While it is possible to get through the game with any party and just about any Archetype lineup, there are some party compositions that are much more effective than others. Here is the best end-game party composition, based on and ideal for the final month of the game.

Best Endgame Line-Up In Metaphor: ReFantazio

  • Protagonist - Prince
  • Junah - Royal Masked Dancer
  • Eupha - Royal Summoner
  • Basilio - Royal Berserker

It shouldn't be much of a surprise that every party member should unlock and use their Royal Archetype towards the end of the game, as they greatly outclass all other Archetypes in terms of stats alone. Through skill Inheritance, you're able to carry over any skills you want, but the general role of each character should be as follows.

Protagonist - Front Line Damage Dealer

It's highly recommended the Protagonist has the Utilitarian's Manual equipped, as it will bring the cost of synthesis skill Royal Sword down to just one Press Turn icon. This will be your main damage dealer, as he will deal Almighty damage and also save Hero's Cry for the right moment to effectively double your turn. Thanks to the passive from the Prince, the protagonist will also resist just about all damage making the frontline an ideal place for him.

Junah - Backline Support Magic

The Masked Dancer is a very versatile Archetype thanks to equipping masks, but it's highly recommended to have Junah focus on support, such as buffs, healing, debuffs, and some damage-dealing skills when everything else is covered. The Masked Dancer has multiple skills that open up any enemy to a weakness of various elements, letting other party members deal more damage and hit weaknesses even if an enemy doesn't have any natural ones. Hellfire Dance is a recommended skill to prioritize thanks to how it pairs with Eupha's Summon Dragon God.

Eupha - Backline Magic Damage Dealer

The Royal Summoner can get access to spells of all elements thanks to Vessels, you'll just to invest the time into crafting them first. This makes Eupha useful against any enemy, while also having powerful attacks that combo well with Junah's skills to create weaknesses. Some of Eupha's skills like Summon Dragon God also debuffs enemies while also dealing a ton of damage, supporting the party while still focusing on damage.

Basilio - Frontline Damage Dealer & Tank

The passives from the Berserker Lineage along with the one learned from the Royal Berserker will quickly have Basilio hit the max health limit of 999, making him a very tanky party member despite his high damage output. The Royal Berserker learns two powerful physical attacks that either add a weakness to Strike or cut through any resistances, meaning he's always able to output a ton of damage no matter the enemy. He also learns a debuff skill that lowers the attack and defense of all enemies by two ranks, just be sure to keep an eye on his MP. This skill, Peerless War Cry can be combined with Summon Dragon God to fully debuff an enemy's attack and defense in the first turn, adding in Junah's Hellfire Dance if the enemy has a resistance to fire.
