The first volume of the bundle required multiple updates spread out over five months until the majority of its most jarring problems, including bugged analog controls and severe performance issues, were fixed. The latest of these patches debuted in the form of the 1.5.0 update, which rolled out back in mid-March 2024. Konami said that even more Metal Gear Solid Master Collection fixes were in the works at the time. As for the second volume of the bundle, fans have long been clamoring for it because it's expected to finally free MGS4: Guns of the Patriots from the confines of the PS3. Vol. 2 is also likely to include MGS: Portable Ops and Peace Walker.
