Pre-orders for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater are now open following the official gameplay trailer shown off during the 2024 Xbox Games Showcase. Metal Gear fans can pre-order Day One and Deluxe editions of the game, with a Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Collector's Edition also available.

Metal Gear fans were somewhat surprised by the announcement of a current-gen remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 last year, with Konami revealing the upcoming title during a PlayStation State of Play livestream. The initial Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater trailer showed off Naked Snake himself sneaking around in a beautifully rendered jungle environment, which also reveled in the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5. While no official gameplay was shown, excitement could immediately be felt within the Metal Gear community, with newer entries in the series, like 2018's Metal Gear Survive, leaving a sour taste in some players' mouths. Konami revealed more information about the game during the 2024 Xbox Games Showcase, with pre-orders for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater now open to all.

Special editions of video games are nothing new, and Konami's Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is no exception. Multiple editions were unveiled following the Xbox Games Showcase, with a Deluxe and Day One edition available for pre-order. A Collector's Edition is also available, which includes a variety of items and special bonuses, like a mini terrarium based on the iconic Virtuous Mission and a fake ID badge Snake uses in the game.

The limited Day One Edition contains the full game plus extra downloadable content that will be "revealed later." Fans who purchase the Deluxe Edition of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater can expect to receive all the contents of the Day One Edition, a shiny Steelbook, more downloadable content, a keychain, a FOX Unit patch, and art cards.

In addition, Konami revealed a new installment in the Metal Gear Solid Legacy series, with legendary actor and writer David Hayter sharing more information about new gameplay features and mechanics within Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Fans got an even better glimpse of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater during the Xbox Games Showcase earlier this week. While packing a considerable new punch in terms of both sound and visual fidelity, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater seems to retain a lot of what made the original 2004 game so great, with the trailer showing off a variety of classic weapons and combat encounters. A release date has not been confirmed for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, but fans can expect to see and hear more information very soon.
