Although we assumed that Mass Effect 3's Citadel and Reckoning DLC would be the last the game had to offer for both single player and multiplayer fans, respectively, BioWare has made it official. After BioWare called "all hands on deck" for the Citadel DLC, single player appeared to be all wrapped up, but there was still some hope the multiplayer would live on with one, maybe two, more pieces of DLC. Nevertheless BioWare has closed the door on that possibility for good.

My name is Jonathan Warner; I’m the Senior Producer on the Mass Effect franchise.  I joined the Mass Effect Team when we launched ME3 and our Multiplayer Service and it has been a wonderful, wild ride!

It has been our pleasure to run and support this service for over a year now and provide the maps, kits, gear, and weapons that we all love. I wanted to thank everyone who played Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer, and participated in our challenges and events.  You have made working on it a real pleasure.

After a solid year of dedicated service, we are now turning our attention to new projects and endeavors, but Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer will live on. Our challenge system and N7 HQ will be maintained and looked after.

Before saying goodbye to Mass Effect 3, however, BioWare left fans with a little something extra: an infographic outlining some of the decisions and play styles the developer noticed among gamers. The infographic (seen below) reveals that over 64% of players opted to make their Commander Shepard more Paragon than Renegade, with over 43% choosing the Soldier class.

While Fem Shep received plenty of attention in the months leading up to the release of Mass Effect 3, the infographic reveals only 18% of players actually created a female version of Shepard. That being said, it is thanks to developers like BioWare, Bethesda, and a whole wealth of others that characters like Fem Shep can get the attention they deserve.

Perhaps the most telling detail in the infographic highlights players' favorite squad members, or at least those who were constantly along for the ride. It was a neck and neck race between Garrus and Liara, two OG Mass Effect compatriots, with Liara having the slight edge. Luckily, Commander Shepard is allocated two squad members for missions.
