A Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 fan has spotted a secret wind tunnel in the game that is very easy to miss. This is a part of the game's new traversal system that allows players to get a speed boost while using their Web Wings in Spider-Man 2 by going through certain blue rings.
Traversal in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is faster and more fluid than the previous games, which has played a huge part in the game’s critical and commercial success. Additionally, players were very happy with Insomniac when it announced the Web Wings feature in Spider-Man 2, as it proved that the developer took community feedback seriously and made the necessary changes to the game. With these wings, players can now travel even faster by gliding through the wind currents. While many of these currents can be found all over the city, a player has come across a seemingly hidden wind tunnel that gives players a massive speed boost.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2's Subways Have a Hilarious Flaw
One Spider-Man 2 player spots a hilarious design flaw while exploring Marvel's New York City, prompting conversation and speculation from fans.
In a post on the SpidermanPS4 subreddit, user rradquis34 shared a video of them exploring Spider-Man 2's open world. While they were swinging under a certain subway bridge, they swung through a staircase leading up to the bridge, which turned out to be a wind tunnel that had blue rings which gave them a speed boost. The community was pleasantly surprised with this discovery considering this was a rare find, and many wondered how many such hidden tunnels were present in Spider-man 2’s map.
While many players are still uncovering all kinds of secrets in the game, Insomniac already seems to be focused on its next big launch. One big revelation in that aspect came recently when Spider-Man 2’s director, Bryan Intihar, confirmed that its upcoming Wolverine game and Spider-Man 2 are based in the same universe. Wolverine was announced by Insomniac in September 2021, but there has not been a substantial update on the game since. There is also a Wolverine suit available for players in the game which is another indication of a potential confrontation between the web slingers and Logan in the future, which could also affect Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 in a big way.
Aside from this, several fans have also mentioned wanting more playtime as Venom in Spider-Man 2. While the game’s story doesn’t really allow much freedom in that aspect, a player seemingly found a way to traverse the open world in Spider-Man 2 as Venom by using a glitch. However, players would still like the option to fully play as Venom, which might become a reality as Spider-Man 2’s senior narrative director has mentioned that the team would consider a Venom spin-off depending on fan reactions.
