According to its post, Spider-Man 2 has managed to sell over five million copies in the past few weeks, a feat Insomniac celebrated by sharing a GIF of Spider-Man 2 villain Kraven the Hunter cheering in excitement. Insomniac also thanked its fans for their continued support and for helping Spider-Man 2 reach this impressive sales milestone.

Spider-Man 2’s overwhelmingly positive reception and continuing financial success bode well for the future of Insomniac’s growing Marvel gaming universe, with the developer already teasing a third mainline Spider-Man game and a possible spin-off title centered around Venom.
