Released back in October of last year, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 made a pretty huge initial impact. Receiving critical acclaim across the board, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 improved upon its predecessor in practically every way, from its refined traversal mechanics to its streamlined combat to its rewarding side content. But the buzz surrounding Marvel's Spider-Man 2 started to fade pretty quickly. Though Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was an excellent game, its streamlined nature and fans' strong desire to complete everything as fast as possible led to the game coming and going surprisingly quickly.
But now, four months after release, fans are finally being given a reason to swing back into the gorgeously realized world of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. On March 7, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will receive a major title update that's set to bring some long-awaited features to the game. While the main course of this update is undoubtedly Spider-Man 2's New Game Plus mode, fans are also getting a few extra pieces of content, including the ability to replay specific missions and a handful of exciting new Spidey suits.

Spider-Man 2's Next Update Adds Peter and Miles' Hellfire Gala Suits
Available completely for free and available on the update's launch day, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is getting two new suits based on Peter and Miles' Hellfire Gala appearances. Originating back in 2019's Marauders #7, the Hellfire Gala is a gigantic in-universe celebration held by some of Marvel's most influential heroes. In the past, the Hellfire Gala has been used as a way to host a diplomatic dinner with the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men, as well as an event that allowed mutants to vote for the next X-Men line-up.
Essentially the Marvel universe's version of the Met Gala, all the event's attending heroes are given extravagant redesigns, turning their usual costumes into all types of fancy garb. Back in 2022, Peter Parker's Spider-Man received his own Hellfire Gala suit courtesy of artist Russell Dauterman, giving the iconic costume a vibrant black and red redesign, with the suit's gigantic red spider logo stretching across the entire torso.
In 2023, Miles Morales received his own Hellfire Gala look in a variant cover for Miles Morales: Spider-Man #8, this time drawn by Bernard Chang. This look sees this hero trade in his usual spandex for a ridiculously cool set of suit pants, dress shirt, and coattails, all of which sport a purple spider-web design, with a red spider logo appearing on Miles' chest. Both Spider-Men are set to receive their Hellfire Gala suits in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on March 7.
Insomniac has also stated that Peter's Symbiote story suits will be receiving some additional Suit Styles that are unlocked by progressing through the game's New Game+ Ultimate Levels as well. This update will also add the ability for players to change the color of their Symbiote abilities.
Spider-Man 2's Next Update is Adding Two Charity Suits
In its press release for Marvel's Spider-Man 2's upcoming update, Insomniac also mentions two new paid suits coming to the game. Available between March 7 and April 5, these two new suits are the centerpiece of a partnership between Insomniac, Marvel, and Gameheads, the latter of which is a charity revolved around providing low-income youth and youth of color with more opportunities to break into the tech and video game industry.
Costing $4.99, 100% of the profits made from Peter's new Fresh suit and Miles' new Fly suit will go to the Gameheads charity during this period. These suits will also be added to Spider-Man 2 for free at a later date, though Insomniac hasn't specified exactly when that will be.
