One Marvel's Spider-Man 2 player stumbles into an interesting bug that hilariously turns Miles Morales into a skating legend that would fit well in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series of games. Insomniac's long anticipated follow up to its 2018 open world title was seemingly well worth the wait as Marvel's Spider-Man 2 quickly became on of 2023's best games, both in critical acclaim as well as sales. The title went on to sell over 5 million copies after a few weeks of its launch date, becoming one of Insomniac's most successful releases ever.

However, even as well received as the game has been, it hasn't exactly been a bug-free experience for most players. In fact, there are plenty of clips being shared online of strange occurrences of Miles Morales turning into a white cube, to another where Spider-man gets trapped inside a water tower. While not always impacting gameplay in a negative way, one player even managed to find a glitch that let them free roam as Venom. The latest glitch has Miles Morales pulling off skate moves that would look right at home in any of Tony Hawk's skating games.

Over on Reddit, a user named hellachode posted a short clip of a unique moment they managed to capture while playing Marvel's Spider-Man 2. While swinging around New York, Miles Morales is led to a nearby bridge, where it starts to descend into a lower part of the city. While swinging down into the lower part of the road, Miles almost gets stuck to the middle barriers in a way that appears as if he's grinding a rail on an invisible skateboard. Oddly enough, his animation changes as if he's freefalling, going headfirst into the barrier while still appearing to slide down it. The odd animation looks similar to the handstand grind from the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series.

Without hesitation, a comment immediately mentioned that the clip should have Superman by Goldfinger edited into it, a song which is closely associated with the Tony Hawk series and its popular soundtracks. The link isn't a huge stretch either, as Spider-Man was a secret guest character in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, when it launched back in 2000, leading to the clever nod of the subReddit post since it was originally Peter and not Miles. Another reader mentioned Insomniac's past work on Sunset Overdrive, a former Xbox One console exclusive which made heavy use of grinding and zip lining to traverse a dystopian metropolis called Sunset City.

While new bugs and glitches continue to pop up for players, Insomniac has stayed on top of many issues the game has faced since it released, issuing patches and updates to ensure the experience remains a positive one. Alongside continued hot fixes, Insomniac continues to work on post-launch content ranging from smaller updates to bigger DLC content. In fact, Insomniac has teased a massive update coming to Marvel's Spider-Man 2 in 2024 which includes New Game+ as well as a number of other highly requested features.
