A Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 player recently found a hilarious glitch in which Peter Parker slowly crawls in the air in a very weird position. Traversal is very quick in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, as the title greatly improved its web-slinging speed when compared to its predecessor, but this glitched method offers a slow, funny variant.
Spider-Man 2 is a very large game that allows the heroes Peter Parker and Miles Morales to explore New York in a fully open-world environment. So, even though Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 went gold a full month before its launch, which gave the developers some time to polish the title before the release, there are still quite a few bugs to be found during the experience.
Spider-Man 2 Director Reveals Why the Controversial MJ Missions Were Brought Back in the Sequel
The director of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 reveals why the team decided to bring back the Mary Jane-focused missions, despite how controversial they were.
Now, one gamer found quite a hilarious bug related to traversal in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. In a short 3-second clip shared by TransportationOk7892, it’s possible to see Spider-Man slowly crawling in the air. The situation would already be weird normally, as gravity should pull Spidey to the ground, but the character is also in a very disturbing position, crawling while sitting down, with Peter Parker’s head facing down while his feet move in a weirdly broken way, seemingly ignoring the existence of his bones. Unfortunately, there was no indication of how this glitch was triggered. The post, which received over 1,700 upvotes, evoked divided opinions, as some people thought the bug was hilarious, while others were fairly upset that such a great game could be diminished by glitches.
The Weird Bugs of Marvel's Spider-Man 2
TransportationOk7892’s footage of Spider-Man crawling in the air was not the only weird bug that someone found in Spidey’s latest title. A few days ago, another gamer saw Miles Morales turning into a white cube in Spider-Man 2. The glitch is just as hilarious as this one, as it essentially had the main character’s model being replaced by a white cube that moved at the same speed and could perform the same moves as the character, despite not having a body.
Another weird glitch was uncovered by a player who was able to control Venom in free roam during Spider-Man 2. To trigger this glitch, players need to perform a very specific sequence during a certain story mission involving the villain. While it’s somewhat disheartening to see bugs in major releases, at least some of the glitches are quite funny, and mostly harmless to players, as these three weird Spider-Man 2 bugs are either very rare or require very specific steps to be triggered.
