The Best Deck for Speed in Marvel Snap
Speed works best in an on-curve deck with Kitty Pryde and Angela. You can replicate this setup by teaming up this trio (Speed, Kitty, Angela) with the following cards: Quicksilver, Domino, Goose, Wiccan, Ant-Man, Nico Minoru, Kate Bishop, Captain America, and Super Skrull.

Speed’s Deck Synergies
- Quicksilver and Domino guarantee you will spend all your Energy on turns one and two.
- Kitty Pryde, Nico Minoru, and Kate Bishop help you stan on the curve. They give you multiple one-Cost cards to drop each turn.
- Goose and Super Skrull are tech options to disrupt the opponent’s strategies.
- Wiccan, Captain America, Angela, and Ant-Man are additional buff providers.
Goose, Super Skrull, and Captain America are flexible cards. Since you have card summoners like Nico Minoru and Kate Bishop on the deck, Marvel Snap's Mockingbird could be a solid addition.
How to Play Speed Effectively
Speed incentivizes a straightforward strategy: playing on the curve. To make the most of his buff, aim to maximize your drops each turn and ensure all your Energy points are used.
Here are some additional notes:
- Speed is buffed in the deck. Unlike Wiccan, Speed doesn’t need to be played to activate his buff. Every time you spend all your Energy points, he gains +1 Power, regardless of whether he's in your hand, on the board, or in the deck.
- Speed is not a win condition. Typically, Speed serves as a cost-effective powerhouse that adds extra Power. He’s not expected to carry a match on his own and generally functions as a 3-9 card.
- Speed and Silver Surfer lack reliable synergy. While you can pair them, the combination of Speed and Silver Surfer feels somewhat disjointed and clunky.
How to Counter Speed
As an Ongoing card, Speed is effectively countered by Enchantress, who can remove his ability. Sandman can also be effective against Speed by limiting the opponent to playing only one card, which is a significant drawback for those relying on Speed's on-curve strategy. Additionally, Rogue can be used to steal Speed’s text and balance the Power in his location, providing another counterplay option.
Is Speed Worth It?
Speed is a reasonably useful card in most on-curve Marvel Snap decks, but he isn't worth spending your keys or tokens on. The issue with Speed is that he's quite ordinary and replaceable, making him skippable for most players. Only those who already employ on-curve strategies might find him valuable. If you're a beginner or have limited key and token resources, holding off on acquiring Speed and saving your resources for more META-relevant cards is advisable.
