The first Spotlight Cache in Marvel Snap’s The Amazing Spider-Season is Silver Sable. She is a one-Cost one-Power card with the On Reveal ability to steal two Power from the top card of the opponent’s deck.
Marvel Snap: The Best Hulkling Deck
Hulkling may not be the biggest release of August in Marvel Snap, but he does come in handy in this refined ramp deck.
Silver Sable joins Marvel Snap alongside Symbiote Spider-Man, September’s Season Pass card, which stole the spotlight because of his Activate ability, an entirely new ability type. Despite this, Silver Sable has shown some potential to become a part of the metagame as a toxic and bounce player.

- Beast helps recollect and replay damage-dealer cards.

- Shang-Chi is the tech card.
Ajax is a flex option.
How to Play Silver Sable
Silver Sable is a straightforward On Reveal card that’s easy to play. You often drop her in toxic or disruptive strategies to damage the opponent’s strategy. Therefore, she offers incredible synergy with cards that either afflict the enemy with negative Power or add junk to their deck.
Remember these notes when playing Silver Sable:
- You won’t see Silver Sable’s target. Her On Reveal animation includes shooting the enemy’s deck twice without revealing the affected card.
- Silver Sable’s effect is “steal,” not “copy.” The targeted card will lose two Power like a -2 affliction.
How to Counter Silver Sable
Silver Sable’s main counter is Cosmo, but Luke Cage and Shadow King also serve as effective counterplays. While Luke Cage can't stop Silver Sable's effect directly, he can mitigate the damage from toxic synergies often used in Silver Sable decks. Shadow King is another strong option, as he can reset card stats to their original values.
A more aggressive counter is Killmonger. As a one-cost card, Silver Sable can be destroyed immediately by Killmonger. Although this won't prevent the damage caused by Silver Sable, it will eliminate her +2 buff.
Is Silver Sable Worth It?
Silver Sable is another skippable card in Marvel Snap’s roster. While she synergizes well with toxic and bounce archetypes, it’s not enough to justify her cost. Additionally, Silver Sable’s two-power damage is often negligible, as opponents can easily avoid playing the inflicted card or simply buff it back with tech or buff cards.
Alexander Coccia, a prominent Marvel Snap creator, expressed that his initial impressions of Silver Sable were less favorable compared to Symbiote Spider-Man. He suggested that Symbiote Spider-Man is likely to have more versatile synergies, while Silver Sable might be limited to a single effective strategy.
