Scream is the first Spotlight Cache card in Marvel Snap’s October season, We Are Venom. She has a Power and Cost of two and can steal +2 Power from each enemy card that moves. However, she can only gain this buff once per turn, so even if you move multiple enemy cards in a single turn, Scream will only receive a buff from one of them.
Marvel Snap: The Best Scarlet Spider Deck
Scarlet Spider can become a huge drop in this buff-based Marvel Snap deck with Namora and Gwenpool.
Currently, building a deck around Scream may not be the best choice, as most lineups tend to be average. However, if you still want to include her, a bully move deck would be your best option. The following Marvel Snap deck is one example of such a lineup.
Scream (2–2)
When an enemy card moves, steal 2 Power from it. (Once per turn)

The Best Deck for Scream
Scream fits well into a control lineup with Juggernaut and Polaris. You can recreate such a deck by incorporating the mentioned cards (Scream, Juggernaut, Polaris) with the following characters: Kingpin, Aero, Stegron, Cannonball, Magneto, Red Guardian, Miles Morales, Spider-Man, and Shang-Chi.

Scream’s Deck Synergies
- Scream relies on control cards to scale.
- The control cards that help move enemy cards are Juggernaut, Polaris, Aero, Stegron, Spider-Man, Cannonball, and Megneto.
- Red Guardian and Shang-Chi are the tech options.
- Mile Morales is a joker card to benefit from the enforced movements.
- Kingpin punishes the enemy’s moved cards by inflicting negative Power.
How to Play Scream Effectively
Scream can be a potential tech card against move archetype decks. However, given that the current metagame doesn't favor movement cards, she will depend on support cards to help her move enemy cards for buffs.
To maximize Scream’s effectiveness on the board, surround her with what are known as “bully move” cards—Marvel Snap characters that force the enemy’s cards to move. You can enhance this strategy by incorporating punishment cards like Kingpin, which can damage the opponent’s moved cards.
Like the above lineup, decks built around Scream are not flexible. She is overly reliant on support cards, which limits your options.
How to Counter Scream
Ideal counterplays against Scream include Shang-Chi, Red Guardian, Luke Cage, and Shadow King.
- Shang-Chi targets all buffed cards. Scream decks will likely grow multiple cards—including Scream herself—into ten-Power cards. And that’s an excellent opportunity for Shang-Chi because he can destroy all of them at once.
- Red Guardian is great for blocking Scream. Since she’s only a two-Power card when dropped, Red Guardian can effectively target her, turning her into a zero-Power, no-ability card.
- Shadow King reverts Scream’s buffs. He can take away all her gains and debuff other cards in her lane.
- Luke Cage turns Scream’s “steals” into “buffs.” When he’s on the board, Scream will get +2 Power for your moved cards, but this increase won’t affect the stats on your side.
Is Scream Worth It?
Scream is a skippable card in the current META. Marvel Snap attempted to revitalize the move archetype with the releases from the Amazing Spider-Season—Madame Web, Scarlet Spider, and Arana—which could turn Scream into a deadly tech card. However, since the metagame remains focused on Hela, Scream isn’t likely to be a game-changer in your decks. It’s better to avoid investing in her unless you have a specific role for her in your lineup.
Alexander Coccia, a prominent Snap player and content creator, remarked, “With Scream, the challenge is that the card itself is good, but the supporting cast is weak.” His review highlighted that Scream can only scale with ‘bully move’ cards like Juggernaut and Polaris, which are not regarded as effective plays in the current META. And that’s a significant downside.
