Patriot is a Pool 3 card in Marvel Snap that has an Ongoing effect that gives two additional power to cards that have no abilities. While this effect is not relevant in most shells, it can be extremely powerful when slotted into the right deck. This guide is here to detail two decks that make good use of Patriot in Marvel Snap, and players that have added this card to their collections should give both of them a try.

Before getting into specific decklists, it is important to mention that Mystique is featured in both of them. Indeed, her ability to duplicate Patriot's Ongoing effect is invaluable, and there is not really a suitable replacement for her. Players that have not yet earned this Pool 3 card in Marvel Snap are thus advised to return to this guide at a later date, though they can certainly try to play Patriot without Mystique if absolutely necessary.

Patriot Surfer

Silver Surfer made his debut as part Marvel Snap's The Power Cosmic Season Pass, and he is currently at the center of a couple top tier decks. One of those decks is this Patriot list, which is a great option in a metagame where Leech is running rampant. Indeed, this deck's ability to mount a significant offense in the mid-game means that it can fight back against that disruptive five-drop, which is an area where other Silver Surfer decks can struggle.

To note, Marvel Snap players that have not yet picked up Maximus should feel free to put Storm or Debrii in his slot. Fans could also consider replacing Iron Man with one of those cards in order to increase their hits for Silver Surfer, though he does play quite well with Mystique. Sera, on the other hand, should not be replaced, as she facilitates some extremely powerful plays on the final turn.

Standard Patriot

This is a very straightforward Patriot deck, which eschews Silver Surfer in favor of power-pushing cards like Ka-Zar and Blue Marvel. Onslaught also makes an appearance here, as he works beautifully with the decks numerous Ongoing cards, and Ultron acts as another potent finisher.

With respect to possible replacements, Mysterio, Mister Sinister, Brood, Storm, and The Thing are reasonable options for players that are missing Wasp, Invisible Woman, or Debrii. Doctor Doom can also do a reasonable Ultron impression in a pinch, though players should consider replacing Marvel Snap's Ka-Zar if they ultimately make that swap.
