Mystique is a Pool 3 card in Marvel Snap that copies the Ongoing ability of the last card that a player put onto the board. While this may seem like an unremarkable ability upon first glance, it can actually be extremely powerful, and Mystique fits beautifully into many decks. This guide is here to provide details on some of those decks, and it will help players start building with Mystique in Marvel Snap.

This is a deck for players that want to give Mystique a try but have not yet collected many other cards from Pool 3 and beyond. It plays very much like a standard Devil Dinosaur deck in Marvel Snap, which looks to keep a player's hand full in order to maximize the power of the Dino. The key difference here is that Mystique effectively allows players to put three Devil Dinosaurs onto the board, as they can duplicate her with Moon Girl on Turn 4, play a Devil Dinosaur on Turn 5, and then play two Mystiques on Turn 6.

Mystique works very well alongside Cerebro in Marvel Snap, and it is strongly recommended that she be included in all decks that are built around the sphere. Here are two such decks, which focus on pumping two-power and three-power cards, and both of them make good use of Mystique. Notably, players that are lacking some of the Pool 3+ cards from these decks should not shy away from them, as many of those cards can be temporarily replaced with others that have the appropriate amount of power.

Shells built around Marvel Snap's Mister Negative are another place where Mystique really shines, as she will cost zero energy in many games. Mystique also has wonderful synergy with some other cards that work well in Mister Negative decks, with Iron Man and Blue Marvel acting as the most-obvious targets. One final thing to mention is that Psylocke is effectively irreplaceable in Mister Negative decks, and fans that have not yet earned her are thus advised to put these lists on the shelf for the time being.

Marvel Snap's Patriot is yet another card that has excellent synergy with Mystique. Indeed, players can push a ton of power across the board by duplicating Patriot's ability, and that is not the only use for Mystique in these decks. To note, the Silver Surfer variant of Patriot is generally considered to be the better of these two options at the time of writing, though Marvel Snap players can absolutely win cubes with the Surfer-less version.
Marvel Snap is available for mobile devices and PC.
