Lasher joined Marvel SNAP's roster as a free card, rewarded to players who collected enough Volts during 2024's last High Voltage event. This two-Cost, two-Power card belongs to the Activate category and has an interesting ability: it deals damage equal to its own Power to an enemy. If you're looking to build a solid deck around Lasher and explore its best synergies, we’ve got you covered. This guide offers a budget-friendly blueprint for a Lasher deck that can hold up in Marvel SNAP's current meta and win you some cubes.
Marvel SNAP: The Best Moonstone Deck
Marvel SNAP’s Moonstone is both fearsome and fragile, but here's a deck that could help offset her fragility.
Lasher (2–2)
Activate: Afflict an enemy card here with negative Power equal to this card's Power.
Series: Four (Rare)
Season: Marvel Rivals
Release: December 28, 2024 (High Voltage Event Reward)
The Best Deck for Lasher
Lasher is a perfect fit for the High-Evo affliction deck. To build a solid deck around it, pair Lasher and High-Evo with the following cards: Forge, Scorpion, Hobgoblin, Wasp, Abomination, Ajax, Hazmat, Luke Cage, The Thing, and Rocket Raccoon & Groot.

Lasher Deck Synergies
- Lasher and other affliction cards (Hazmat, Scorpion, The Thing, and Wasp) help discount Abomination.
- Forge boosts Lasher's negative Power output.
- Luke Cage protects you from possible mirror decks as well as Hazmat's effect.
- Hobgoblin allows you to clog a lane and afflict it with negative Power.
- Rocket & Groot help distribute Power while dealing even more damage.
- Abomination is your win condition, potentially becoming a free drop with nine Power.
- Ajax is your secondary win condition. Since you'll likely drop Abomination for free, you'll have enough Energy to drop Ajax as well.
How to Play Lasher Effectively
- Protect Lasher with a low-Cost drop. Red Guardian is Lasher's biggest threat. If you don't want him to ruin your strategy, ensure you place another faint drop in Lasher's lane so Red Guardian can't snipe it.
- Don’t get too greedy with the negative Power. Lasher can deal massive negative damage if you keep buffing it, but remember its effect can only win you one location. Since it’s an Activate card, it’s hard to copy its effect in other lanes. Over-investing in Lasher may backfire, hindering your strategies in the other two locations.
- Let the enemy forget about Lasher. As an Activate card, Lasher is likely to be overlooked by your opponent. Let them build up Power in Lasher's lane and unleash its effect when there's no time for the enemy to respond.
How to Counter Lasher
Lasher is easy to counter with Luke Cage. If you drop Luke Cage before Lasher, it essentially becomes a useless card. You can also restore the Power of afflicted cards with Shadow King, as he resets all cards to their base Power. Additionally, since Lasher is a two-Cost drop, it’s an easy target for Red Guardian, who can remove its text and heal the afflicted damage.
Is Lasher Worth It?
If you're a fan of junk or affliction decks, Lasher is a solid card to grab. Those who earned it for free during the previous High-Voltage Event have a reliable disruption card. However, if you're considering whether Lasher is worth getting through Tokens, the answer is no. There are better options in the upcoming season, and Victoria Hand in the current Spotlight Cache and Token Shop is a far better investment.
You can get Lasher from the Token Shop as a Series 4 card.
