Hellfire Gala introduces a new location called Castle Blackstone: A trigger-requiring lane with the ability to grant extra Energy points. This Marvel Snap guide explores the synergies of this brand-new spot and provides players with a deck blueprint that could dominate it. Here’s how Castle Blackstone works and what cards it supports.
Marvel Snap: How to Identify Bots
Winning Marvel Snap matches is all fun and cool until bots show up; here’s how to spot and avoid them.
Castle Blackstone Location Explained
Castle Blackstone is a booster location that awards an additional Energy point to the player leading in control as long as they maintain their winning position. (Dominating this lane each turn guarantees one extra drop point for the next round until turn five.)
Castle Blackstone is comparable to Noor Dimension, which granted players cheap Energy-summoning cards, Djinns. The primary difference, however, is that only one player is allowed to benefit from Castle Blackstone’s booster.
Upon release, Castle Blackstone will become a featured location for 24 hours. During this time-limited event, players will be 50% more likely to encounter this effect in PvP and Conquest matches.
The Best Card to Play in Castle Blackstone
The perfect drop for Castle Blackstone is Ebony Maw. This 1-Cost card brings seven Power to the board from the get-go, stealing multiple Energy points before the enemy can top him.
The extra Energy on each turn negates Ebony Maw’s drawback (the inability to play other cards in his lane). Players can use his location as the farming lane for the first few turns, dominating the other two spots with early powerhouse drops.
Lizard on turn two is also an excellent play in Castle Blackstone. He gives five Power, which is hard to match in the starting rounds.
The Best Deck for Castle Blackstone
An ideal deck for Castle Blackstone is an Electro Ramp lineup with Ebony Maw. With this setup, the player is guaranteed to play multiple big cards before rounds five and six, forcing the opponent to retreat.
Assemble this deck by teaming up the following cards: Electro, Psylocke, Wave, Sunspot, Sandman, Iceman, Heimdall, She-Hulk, Professor X, Doctor Doom, Doctor Octopus, and Ebony Maw.
