To better understand this Black Knight deck, here’s what each card does:

  • Black Knight: Adds Ebony Blade to the deck with recent discarded cards’ Power.
  • Lady Sif: Discards the highest-power card.
  • Taskmaster: Copies the last played card’s Power.
  • The Infinaut: Must be played after a skipped turn.
  • Dracula: Discards a card at hand and copies its Power. (Last round.)
  • Ghost Rider: Revives the discarded card.
  • Blade: Discards the rightmost card at hand.
  • Zabu: Reduces the 4-Cost cards’ Energy by one.
  • Jubilee: Adds the deck’s top card to the board.
  • Giganto: Can be played to the left lane only.
  • Armor: Protects the card in her location.
  • Moon Girl: Duplicates the hand.

How to Play Black Knight

image showing the black knight card in marvel snap.

The goal is to discard The Infinaut with Lady Sif or Blade while Black Knight is on the board. This adds a 4-Cost Ebony Blade with 20 Power to hand, a surefire play. But players will also need to use Dracula, Ghost Rider, and Taskmaster strategically to copy Power cards.

In the ideal scenario, Taskmaster copies the 20-Power Ebony Blade, Dracula discards Giganto and earns its Power, and Ghost Rider resurrects The Infinaut to create an extra 54 Power on the board.

Armor is the defensive card in the lineup, protecting buffed cards against Shang-Chi or similar destroyers. Jubilee is Plan B for when the Black Knight strategy fails. And Moon Girl is the Joker for increasing the chances of hitting high-power cards with Dracula.

Is Black Knight Worth It?

Marvel Snap

Considering its passive effect and inconsistency, Black Knight is not the best Spotlight Cache option. It does not revolutionize the discard archetype and is susceptible to easy counters such as Shang-Chi. However, players looking to experiment with discard decks and find new synergies will surely benefit from purchasing Black Knight.
