Kingpin is a three-Cost four-Power Pool three card in Marvel Snap with the ability to destroy all enemy cards in his location in round six if they have been moved here.
Although not a new card, Kingpin has retained his on-and-off relationship with the META. It may not be a failsafe card for most destroy decks, but if used in the right lineup, Kingpin can be a game-changer. To clarify that, this guide explains how to use Kingpin to create one of the most consistent control decks in Marvel Snap.
Marvel Snap: The Best Elsa Bloodstone Deck
Elsa Bloodstone has revived the bounce decks in Marvel Snap; here’s how to assemble the best lineup for her.
The Best Deck for Kingpin
An ideal lineup for Kingpin is a Polaris-Magneto control deck. To recreate this setup, players will need to have Kingpin, Polaris, and Magneto teamed up with Daredevil, Storm, Juggernaut, Silver Surfer, Gamora, Sunspot, Professor X, She-Hulk, and Aero.

Here’s how players should use these cards’ synergies:
- Sunspot: Use it as a starter to salvage unspent Energies.
- Storm: Have her block a lane and control enemy movement.
- Polaris: Let her bring one or two-Cost victims for Kingpin (or move them away).
- Magneto: Drop as a final-round card to decide the winning lane. (Magneto draws all opposing three to four-Cost cards.)
- Daredevil: Play him before turn five to assess Snap opportunities.
- Silver Surfer: Have him buff all other three-Cost cards.
- Gamora: Exploit her ability when the opponent is forced to play cards to her lane.
- Juggernaut: Let him disrupt the enemy’s strategy by moving their cards.
- Professor X: Block a lane with this card to minimize RNG-based movements.
- Aero: Use her to lure enemy cards into Kingpin’s location.
- She-Hulk: Reduce her Cost by saving Energy to drop her early.
- Kingpin: In the final round, destroy enemy cards with this card.
How to Play Kingpin
Kingpin is a late-game winning card. To play him well, players will need to prepare the deck with control cards. In the current deck, for example, Storm and Juggernaut decide which lane Kingpin should hit by moving the enemy cards to other locations. That is while Polaris, Aero, and Magneto help him pull the opposing cards to his location and destroy them.
How to Counter Kingpin
The best way to counter Kingpin is by locking down his lane with Armor. Before the sixth round, players can drop Armor or Professor X to prevent movement and destroy, disabling Kingpin’s final-round attack. However, a riskier counter would be Galactus, which can destroy all other locations, stopping Kingpin altogether.
Alternative Cards for a Kingpin Deck
Other cards that benefit from Kingpin’s ability are Invisible Woman, Shang-Chi, Iceman, and Sera. These cards increase the control, counterattack, and surprise elements of the lineup, enabling more aggressive (and less chancy) outcomes.
