With the addition of Annihilus to Marvel Snap, the best junk deck is a Sentry-Goblin lineup. Assemble this setup by gathering Annihilus, Green Goblin, The Sentry, The Hood, Carnage, Mysterio, Hazmat, Debrii, Absorbing Man, Typhoid Mary, and Spider-Woman.

Cards like Hobgoblin and Green Goblin will automatically fly to the other side on the reveal. However, other junks like Debrii’s Rocks and Mysterio’s illusions require a switcher, a card like Annihilus to send them over to the enemy zone. Here are the best combos for junk-archetype decks:

The Sentry into Absorbing Man and Annihilus. With this trio on board, the enemy receives -20 Power.
Yellowjacket, Sentry, and Typhoid Mary. These cards can create a -13 Void that could single-handedly ruin one of the opposing lanes.
Debrii into Absorbing Man and Annihilus. After this combo, there will be four 0-Power Rocks on the enemy side.

Best Counters for Junk Archetype

The optimal counterplay for junk decks is the destroy archetype. Cards like Carnage can feed off the opposers, buff destroy-benefiting options at hand, and clear up the lane. Professor X is also a standard counter, as he prevents any cards from entering his lane, locking the junk characters out.

For junk decks that rely on Annihilus, an innovative counter is Ghost and the mirror Annihilus combo. With this duo, any side-switching cards will return to the opponent’s hand (because Annihilus will be triggered later and push back the attacker's negative cards).
