Marvel Rivals players have taken to social media to show appreciation for the Midnight Features event quests available in Season 1: Eternal Night Falls. NetEase Games has had a lot to celebrate recently, as Marvel Rivals was recently nominated for a DICE award and was voted top new game in PlayStation's Players' Choice for December 2024. With the launch of the new season, the popular hero shooter also broke its concurrent player record on Steam.
Marvel Rivals is currently in the beginning stages of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, but NetEase Games is already letting fans know what to expect in the future. In a recent interview, the developers stated that they intend to release a new playable hero in Marvel Rivals every month and a half. While Season 1 will see the entire Fantastic Four debut within the span of three months, the developers have stated that future seasons will feature less content. However, that hasn't stopped fans from getting excited about seeing even more of their favorite characters come to the game at a steady pace.
Marvel Rivals Player Discovers a Quick Way to Earn Units
A Marvel Rivals player surprises fellow fans of the popular hero shooter by finding a quick way that gamers can earn units within the game.
In a recent post on Reddit, user Useful_You_8045 expressed appreciation for Season 1's Midnight Features event quests, especially the fact that they can be completed in multiple game modes. Many of the available quests specify that they can be completed in Quick Play, Competitive, or in matches against AI. The ability to complete quests against computer enemies has been a relief for some players, as it allows them to try new heroes or focus on challenges in a low-stakes setting. Some Redditors also expressed that they were happier with the rewards in Season 1, such as a Gallery Card that gave players their first look at Blade in Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals’ Midnight Features Event Quests Are a Hit With Fans
Some people were quick to note that NetEase Games also improved the visual presentation of event quests, adding to their significance within the season. When players go to the title's Events tab, they can see a Midnight Features newspaper where each headline and image introduces the new quests. The images displayed are animated, breathing life into the pages of the Daily Bugle's paper. While not all of the quests are currently available, it's expected that the challenges will fully unlock on January 17. Players who complete all of the event quests will even earn a free skin for Thor in Marvel Rivals.
Many gamers have been happy with the improvements NetEase Games has made in Season 1, such as giving Marvel Rivals players two free skins in the battle pass instead of one. The developer also enriched the new season's offerings by adding fresh maps, a game mode, and implementing balance changes to ensure fairness within its vast roster of characters. With NetEase Games paying so much attention to details and the desires of its community, many players are optimistic about the future of the popular hero shooter.
