A Marvel Rivals player has shared a new MVP animation with the hero shooter’s community, turning the god Loki into an even bigger troll than he already is on the battlefield. During Marvel Rivals matches, whether they take place in Yggsgard, Tokyo 2099, or Klyntar, an MVP (Most Valuable Player) will be declared after battle, and it’s determined by each player’s overall stats, including the number of kill streaks.
Marvel Rivals launched in December 2024 and debuted as a free-to-play model with 33 characters available to play from day one, such as Wolverine, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man. One leaked Marvel Rivals character could contest Jeff the Land Shark, the West Coast Avengers pet that has quickly become a fan-favorite thanks to its cute gameplay and often punishing combat, but Loki is also a popular choice to annihilate participants in style.

Posted on Reddit by Gloomy-Compote-231, a six-second animation was shared within the Marvel Rivals subreddit, showing a fan-made MVP animation for Loki. The end-of-match snippet featured Black Panther in his Galactic Claw skin emerging as the suspected MVP, but the crown is quickly taken away as Loki erases the character with his scepter. Loki is an exciting character to play in Marvel Rivals, and this animation adds to his deceptive qualities and general trolling in both the shooter and the greater Marvel Comics universe.
Marvel Rivals Players Want a Deceptive New MVP Animation for Loki
Marvel Rivals’ Loki is inspired by the MCU’s variant from The Avengers, the 2012 live-action assembly of Marvel’s greats, and the shooter showcases his accurate level of mischievousness. The game’s community was on board with the new animation, wishing it would be added as a post-match feature. Redditors also thought it was a great idea to see the SVP (Second Valuable Player) announced before Loki interjects using a green smoke effect. If the MVP animation couldn’t be changed for Loki, then some players want to see this cut applied to Mysterio’s animation, if the character gets added to the roster down the line.
A Marvel Rivals leaker recently revealed a possible new skin for Loki, which could be added to the game very soon. The character’s new costume features a dark jade and black colorway with large horns on his armor resembling a dragon. A torn cape can also be spotted and the god’s dark hair appears to have turned white with his iconic staff taking the shape of a scythe. Currently, players are enjoying the recently added Moon Knight skins and the debut of Squirrel Girl, proving NetEase Games is hard at work supplying frequent fresh content with more to come.
