Marvel Rivals players aren't happy with the way Doctor Strange's new skin from the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is being advertised in the game's shop, claiming that they felt misled after purchasing the costume. This is the second Marvel Rivals skin inspired by the popular MCU film, as Scarlet Witch also has an outfit based on her appearance in the movie.

A large number of Doctor Strange players haven't been happy lately, as balance changes that came with Marvel Rivals' launch of Season 2 were widely seen as a nerf to the popular Vanguard. Some fans pointed out that Doctor Strange has received several nerfs since the debut of Season 0, which have significantly impacted the amount of damage he's capable of dealing and receiving.

Marvel Rivals Fans Would Like to See a Minor Feature Added to Skins

Marvel Rivals players are asking NetEase Games to add one highly requested feature to characters and skins in the popular hero shooter.

In a recent post on Reddit, Talisintiel shared images of Marvel Rivals' new zombie Doctor Strange skin, pointing out a major difference between how it looks in-game and how it is presented within the store. When looking at a preview of the cosmetic in the game's shop, it appears that numerous hands are sprouting from behind the Vanguard's shoulders and head, giving him a sinister look. It's very similar to the way Doctor Strange appeared near the end of the MCU film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which is what the skin is modeled after. However, when one equips the costume and enters a match, they'll find that there are no extra arms or hands on the skin by default, leading a lot of people to feel that NetEase Games engaged in a form of false advertising.

Marvel Rivals Players Feel Misled by Netease Games

However, the feature isn't completely absent from Marvel Rivals' new MCU costume, as the extra limbs do burst out from the hero when he uses his Maelstrom of Madness and Eye of Agamotto abilities. The problem is that neither of those last for very long or happen particularly often. Some people suggested that the skin could make use of the extra limbs during Doctor Strange's reload animation, which would be a nice touch.

Players also seem to be unhappy because the skin costs a rather hefty 2,400 Units in Marvel Rivals, making it one of the most expensive costumes in the game. Those who would also like to acquire Scarlet Witch's MCU skin based on her appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness might want to consider taking advantage of the store's bundling of the two skins, which can be purchased for a total of 3,000 Units. Since NetEase Games has a history of listening to feedback from its community, some gamers are hopeful that it will offer refunds to unhappy players or change the skin. Despite a few hiccups, many fans are enjoying their time with Season 2 and are still feeling optimistic about the future of the popular hero shooter.
