In a recent post on Twitter, the popular dataminer X0X_LEAK claimed that the upcoming Marvel Rivals hero The Thing should be receiving a skin based on his iconic trench coat outfit when he launches on February 21. The costume has a long history in Marvel's comics, and was most recently shown in a trailer for the MCU film The Fantastic Four: First Steps. With a touch of noir styling, The Thing can be seen wearing a tan hat with a wide brim and a matching trench coat.

While there's no way of knowing exactly which skin could arrive with The Thing, it's reasonable to assume that NetEase Games will release cosmetics for the hero within the shop. When Marvel Rivals Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic made their debut at the beginning of Season 1, they each received a skin depicting dark variants of themselves.

In addition to The Thing, fans will soon be able to play as Human Torch in Marvel Rivals. It's rumored that the famous member of The Fantastic Four will be able to create walls of flame, allowing him to control portions of the battlefield. Leakers also claim to have found evidence that he will be able to combine forces with Storm to generate fiery tornadoes. With so much content on the horizon, many fans are excited about the future of Marvel Rivals.
