A Marvel Rivals player was surprised to discover that the Invisible Woman can negate some enemies' ultimates with her passive. After much anticipation, Marvel Rivals has finally added part of the Fantastic Four, making Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman playable.
Susan Storm, in particular, is the newest addition to the roster of Strategists, the Marvel Rivals class with the fewest playable heroes. Her kit isn't the easiest to master, however, which gives the character a four-star difficulty rating. Players who want to take on the challenge can use skills such as Agile Strike, which hits enemies and throws them away from the character, and Guardian Shield, which creates a shield to heal and protect an ally from incoming damage.
However, it was the Invisible Woman's passive that led Reddit user defaulttf to the surprising discovery that she can ignore her opponents' ultimate. In the clip they shared, the opposing team's Psylocke uses her ultimate, Dance of the Butterfly. Still, Sue activates her passive right on time and turns invisible, negating all the damage she would have suffered during the four seconds of the X-Men's attack. Named Covert Advance, the Invisible Woman's passive is activated sometime after the character leaves a fight, making her temporarily immune to damage.
How the Invisible Woman Passive Can Help Marvel Rivals Players
In this case, the Invisible Woman's passive is very useful not only for negating Psylocke's ult but also for abilities that rely on some level of automatic targeting. With that, the comments section added that Star-Lord and Squirrel Girl's ultimate can also be countered with Covert Advance, since both abilities target their targets automatically. On the other hand, players noted that Captain America's shield is an exception, and regardless of Sue's passive, it can hit her if she is within range of the initial throw. Others have also noted that she can take damage if the opponent is already aiming at her.
While the Invisible Woman is one of the additions to the Strategist roster, gamers can also play as Mister Fantastic. Marvel Rivals' newest Duelist surprises by being incredibly durable and making allies more resistant with skills like Flexible Reflection, which generates a shield for him and a teammate.
