NetEase Games has shared a first look at gameplay footage for Human Torch in Marvel Rivals. In addition to the fiery hero, players can expect to see The Thing make his debut in Marvel Rivals when a large mid-season update launches on February 21. As Season 1: Eternal Night Falls continues, The Fantastic Four will lead the charge against Dracula in an attempt to save a war-torn New York City.
The forthcoming update is set to make some waves when it launches, as numerous changes will be introduced to the popular hero shooter. Gamers can expect to see a rebalancing of their favorite characters, which will possibly change the meta of competitive play. NetEase Games will also introduce a new Central Park map, an area that has been taken over by Dracula's nefarious army. The developers will also be giving players a new way to earn Units in Marvel Rivals, as they will now be able to convert their excess Chrono Tokens into the useful currency.
Marvel Rivals Leak Reveals Possible Upcoming Skin for the Thing
A prominent Marvel Rivals leaker reveals a possible skin for the upcoming character The Thing in NetEase Games' popular hero shooter.
In a recent post on Twitter, NetEase Games gave players their first look at official gameplay footage of Human Torch in Marvel Rivals. The young man is a flying hero, making him somewhat similar to Iron Man. He has the ability to shoot flames from his hands and slam down on enemies from above. In addition, he appears to be able to create walls of flame, allowing him to aid allies and harm enemies by walling off areas of the battlefield. Human Torch also seems to have a powerful team-up ability with Storm, which allows the duo to create flaming tornadoes in an effort to vanquish their foes.
Marvel Rivals Details Human Torch Gameplay
It has been rumored that Marvel Rivals' Human Torch may launch with a skin based on his time in the Negative Zone within the comics. This cosmetic would show off a battle-hardened version of the typically joyful hero. When Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic made their debut, they each received costumes showing off their darker side. Invisible Woman launched with a cosmetic bundle for Malice, her evil alter ego. Meanwhile, Mister Fantastic made his first appearance with a skin called The Maker, which was modeled after an evil version of the hero from Marvel's Ultimate Universe.
NetEase Games also confirmed that The Thing will be a Vanguard in Marvel Rivals. While details are somewhat sparse, the hero appears to function similarly to Hulk, clobbering his way through enemies with brute force. With a wealth of new content on the way and so much to experience, many gamers are looking forward to seeing what Marvel Rivals does next.
