A Marvel Rivals fan has created a concept that imagines the Green Goblin as a playable character. With 38 playable characters for players to choose from, the cast of Marvel Rivals is made up of well-known names from the comics and films of the House of Ideas.

Why Marvel Rivals' Krakoa Map is More Cursed Than Meets the Eye

Krakoa may be the location of the Hellfire Gala and a safe haven for mutants, but one specific trait may make players uneasy rather than secure.

On the Marvel Rivals subreddit, user Repulsive_Papaya_290 showed what it would be like if the Green Goblin were a playable Duelist. The kit they created imagines the iconic Marvel villain as a flying/ground character whose abilities change based on the glider toggle. If it's active, the Green Goblin's abilities are Vibranium Glider, Poison Goblin Grenades, Goblin Gun, and Impaling Charge. If it is deactivated, the character's abilities are Wire Trap, Goblin Spinner, and Poison Smore Screen. His ultimate, Parade of the Green Goblin, makes the villain activate his glider and launch an explosive carpet of poison with a range of up to 60 meters.

Marvel Rivals Player Imagines Green Goblin As "Answer to Spider-Man"

His passive is Ramping Chaos, which reduces the cooldown of the primary fire and gives the Green Goblin a temporary health bonus upon causing damage to an enemy. One of his Marvel Rivals team-ups imagined by the OP is Mischief Managed, which would make the Green Goblin share his recharge/fire rate with Loki's clones for 12 seconds. The Green Goblin, in turn, would receive bonus damage. In the comments section, players approved of the concept created by the Redditor, with many expressing their desire to see the famous villain added to the cast.

While NetEase's shooter has a wealth of heroes, Marvel Rivals is lacking in playable villains. With a few bad guys for players to choose from, there is no shortage of ideas for names that fans want to see, the Green Goblin being one of the most popular suggestions. The developers have not yet indicated any plans to add him, but given his importance in the lore of Marvel Comics, players think his debut is a matter of time.
