One Marvel Rivals player has created their own character concept for the Goblin Queen in the style of NetEase Games' popular hero shooter, which recently launched Season 3 on July 11. NetEase Games recently added the mutant Jean Grey to Marvel Rivals as the Duelist Phoenix, which delighted many fans who have been waiting to see more X-Men.
Even though Season 3 has just begun, some players already have their eye on the upcoming Season 3.5 update on August 8. In addition to rebalancing heroes and introducing fresh cosmetics to the title, Season 3.5 will add Blade to Marvel Rivals as a Duelist. Many players have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Blade, as he has been teased since the launch of Season 1, which saw him taken captive by the villain Dracula in New York City.
Disabled Marvel Rivals Players Are Requesting a Helpful Change
Marvel Rivals players are asking for a helpful change that would allow disabled gamers to better enjoy NetEase Games' popular hero shooter.
In a recent post on Reddit, Cultural_Ad4203 shared their character concept for Jean Grey's clone, Goblin Queen, in the hero shooter. They mentioned that many people probably expect to see Goblin Queen show up as a skin for Phoenix in Marvel Rivals, but Cultural_Ad4203 would prefer to see her added as a whole new playable character. They even stated that they see the character as more of a Strategist, while Jean Grey is currently a Duelist. In the past, NetEase Games has stated that it doesn't intend to turn full characters into simple skins. However, as a clone of Jean Grey herself, it's possible Goblin Queen may only be represented as a potential cosmetic.
Marvel Rivals Player Showcases Goblin Queen Concept Art
NetEase Games hasn't revealed which costumes players may see added to Phoenix's closet in the future, but it has given players a fresh look at other cosmetics coming to the game soon. The recent roadmap for Season 3 of Marvel Rivals teased the appearance of a new line of swimsuit skins coming to the popular hero shooter on July 18. It also showed off skins for Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing, which will be part of an upcoming collaboration with the MCU film The Fantastic Four: First Steps. After that, players will be able to get their hands on new Phoenix-themed skins for both Magik and Black Panther.
While many people seem to be enjoying the addition of Phoenix to the popular hero shooter's ever-expanding roster, some people are unhappy about her synergy with Wolverine in Marvel Rivals. With the launch of Season 3, NetEase Games introduced a team-up between Phoenix and Wolverine. When paired up, Phoenix enhances Wolverine's Feral Leap ability, covering the mutant in flames. This allows him to deal continuous percentage damage to foes around him, and it even grants him lifesteal while dealing damage to enemies. The combination both boosts his damage potential and makes him much harder to eliminate, making him a bigger threat to Vanguards than ever before. With a whole new season to enjoy and even more content just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.
