Another new Marvel Rivals event is here in the form of Giant-Size Hive Mind, and this limited-time mode combines some of the most popular parts of previous Marvel Rivals events. Not to be confused with the Giant-Size Brain Blast event that just ended in Marvel Rivals, the Giant-Size Hive Mind event adds new twists to the big-headed formula.
Just like previous Marvel Rivals events, Giant-Size Hive Mind will only be available to play during two brief windows, so there's only a short amount of time to jump in. There aren't any limited rewards to grind for during the event period, though, so there's no need to abandon that competitive grind to participate in this goofy limited-time mode. Still, Giant-Size Hive Mind lets Marvel Rivals players get up to some silly shenanigans, so it's worth checking out for a while.
Marvel Rivals Leak Teases Ultron's Unique Team Up Ability
New leaks suggest some big things are in store for Ultron, the newest character to join Marvel Rivals' ever-expanding and always-exciting roster.
Marvel Rivals Giant-Size Hive Mind Schedule
The Giant-Size Hive Mind limited-time mode will only be live in Marvel Rivals on two weekends. The first weekend where Giant-Size Hive Mind will be available starts on May 9 and ends on May 12. Then, the mode will disappear for a few days before returning for a second weekend from May 16 through May 19. Outside of those short windows, the Giant-Size Hive Mind mode won't show up in the Marvel Rivals matchmaking menu.
While Giant-Size Hive Mind borrows the big-head player models from Giant-Size Brain Blast, it's a slightly different mode with some new modifications. In this limited-time mode, all players on the same team play as six copies of the same randomly-selected hero. It's basically Clone Rumble and Giant-Size Brain Blast combined into a single event.
Does Giant-Size Hive Mind Have Any Rewards?
Giant-Size Hive Mind does not appear to offer any unique rewards i n Marvel Rivals. Some challenges can be completed in the Giant-Size Hive Mind event playlist, but there are no event-specific challenges that require players to queue up specifically for the mode. The Brain Blast emotes are available for purchase for 400 Units in the store, though.
Even though Giant-Size Hive Mind can seem a bit underwhelming compared to previous Marvel Rivals events, there's still a lot of fun to be had in this limited-time mode. Plus, players can work on earning their free Hellfire Gala Wolverine skin in the process.
