Marvel Rivals Offering Players a Free Skin With a Catch

Marvel Rivals appears to be getting ready to offer a new Daredevil skin for free, but only for Disney+ users who reside in the US. The Season 4.5 update is right around the corner, and it's set to be headlined by one of Marvel's most popular heroes in Daredevil. The character's Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again premiered earlier this year, and so it's fitting that the Devil of Hell's Kitchen is finally making his way to Marvel Rivals.

Named Heart of the Dragon, the fourth season of Marvel Rivals kicked off on September 12 and saw the debut of the game's latest Vanguard hero, Angela. A lesser-known hero of Marvel Comics, Angela got her start as part of Image Comics in the 90s, mainly appearing next to Spawn before being added to the Marvel universe in 2013. Marvel Rivals players were also treated to a new map in K'un Lun - Heart of Heaven, as well as a swimsuit event to close out the summer.

Free Daredevil Skin Giveaway is Exclusive to Disney+ Subs in the US

With Daredevil's arrival in Marvel Rivals looming, it's been discovered by Twitter user Miller Ross that the hero will be accompanied by a new skin that's being given away for free to Disney+ subscribers from October 10, the start of Season 4.5, until January 8, 2026. Unfortunately, the skin, a re-color themed around the blue branding of Disney+, will only be available to Disney+ subscribers who reside in the US.

All hope is not lost for Marvel Rivals players around the globe and those who aren't subscribed to Disney's streaming service, as the Disney+ Daredevil skin will still be available in the in-game store for 600 Units. This amount of Units costs $5 Lattice, Marvel Rivals' premium currency, though Units are also earnable for free just by playing the game. It's understandable for this new Daredevil skin giveaway to be exclusive to Disney+ subscribers, as it's a perk of the streaming service, but its regional exclusivity is still a complete head scratcher.

Season 4.5 is set to begin in Marvel Rivals on October 10, bringing with it new Team-Up abilities, a new, yet to be revealed game mode, the game's first-ever Halloween event, a host of balancing changes, and public testing for the game's highly sought-after cross-platform progression feature. Marvel Rivals fans in the US who are also subscribed to Disney+ should keep an eye on their emails for the free redemption code that'll net them this new Daredevil skin.
