According to a new Marvel Rivals leak, players might soon be able to get a free Black Widow skin. Marvel Rivals has been a smash hit so far, with developer NetEase Games keeping things fresh by releasing new playable characters and other content on a regular basis. In February, The Thing and the Human Torch were finally added to Marvel Rivals, and recent trailers and leaks promise exciting new heroes like Blade in the future.
NetEase has also provided Marvel Rivals players with alternate skins for the game’s existing characters, many of which are directly inspired by looks from the comics and MCU movies. For example, Hulk recently received a 'Punk Rage Hulk' skin as part of a special promotion, with fans even noticing a fun reference to We’re the Millers through one of the rebellious rage monster’s tattoos. Now one of Hulk’s Avengers teammates could be getting a new outfit of their own, though this one is a little more “country” than “rock-and-roll.”
Marvel Rivals Leak Points to Deadpool Joining the Roster
A new leak suggests Deadpool will soon make his way into Marvel Rivals' ever-expanding roster of iconic Marvel heroes and villains.
Noted Marvel Rivals leaker X0XLEAK recently claimed that a new promotional event will be held from March 7 to April 11, and it will include a new free skin for Black Widow. According to VideoGamer, the skin in question will be inspired by the Marvel 1872 series, with Black Widow wearing a stylish Western assassin outfit complete with a cowboy hat sporting her logo, a red scarf around her neck, cowboy-style leather gloves, and a six-shooter revolver that wouldn’t be too out of place in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Marvel Rivals Leak Hints at Free Mrs. Barnes Black Widow Skin
As its name implies, Marvel 1872 reimagines the company's most iconic characters in the Old West, including Black Widow. On Earth-51920, Natasha Romanova is married to Deputy James “Bucky” Barnes (better known in Marvel Rivals and other media as the Winter Soldier) and becomes a horse-riding vigilante to avenge his death. She eventually helps take down the corrupt Mayor Wilson Fisk and would go on to protect the town of Timely alongside Red Wolf.
Marvel 1872 also includes Western versions of other existing Marvel Rivals characters like Iron Man and Captain America, and this new Black Window skin could lead to others down the line if this leak is indeed accurate. Interestingly enough, the leaked end date for this promotional event coincides with the rumored start date for Marvel Rivals’ second season, which is sure to bring even more playable characters and alternate costumes from the comics.
