Summary
- One Marvel Rivals player took to social media to share their artwork depicting what the X-Men character Emma Frost would look like in the game.
- Recent leaks suggest that Gambit, Rogue, and Jubilee may be added to Marvel Rivals in future updates.
An imaginative Marvel Rivals player recently shared their idea of what the classic X-Men anti-hero Emma Frost would look like in the game. Marvel Rivals already has a packed roster of heroes and villains from across the Marvel universe, with many of them being tied to the X-Men franchise. Major team members Wolverine, Storm, and Psylocke are among Marvel Rivals’ 35-player line-up, as is their on-again-off-again nemesis/mentor Magneto.
Recent leaks suggest that even more mutants will be joining them, claiming that Gambit, Rogue, and Jubilee could be added in future Marvel Rivals updates. Other much-requested X-Men characters include team leader Cyclops, resident genius the Beast, and even the ever-popular teleporter Nightcrawler. Some Marvel Rivals fans have even started sketching new designs and move sets for these mutant heroes.
One Character Difference Between The MCU and Marvel Rivals Was Done On Purpose
While Mantis isn't the most visually deviant member of the roster, the differences in her presentation were certainly no accident.
This includes Reddit user Shim0rinn, who recently posted their own Marvel Rivals Emma Frost concept images to r/marvelrivals. True to her appearance in the Marvel comics and other media, this version of Emma wears an elegant white dress that glistens like ice. Shim0rinn added a few stylized details that would fit the Marvel Rivals art style, such as pointed shoulders, diamond-shaped earrings, and talon-like claws on Emma’s fingers. Other Reddit users have complimented this design and are hoping to see Emma Frost actually be added to Marvel Rivals as a possible Vanguard character in the future.
Marvel Rival Fan Shows Off Impressive Emma Frost Design
Emma Frost has alternated between hero and villain over the years, but is still classified as one of the strongest mutants in the Marvel universe due to her powerful telepathic skills and secondary ability to transform her skin into near-invulnerable diamond armor. She has appeared in several Marvel and X-Men-based video games over the years, with her most recent outing being as a boss and unlockable character skin in Fortnite’s recent Doctor Doom event.
Recent Marvel Rivals leaks have hinted that Emma Frost could actually be on her way, along with other notable Marvel figures like Captain Marvel, Hit-Monkey, and the ever-popular Deadpool. Emma Frost’s powers would certainly make her a formidable character in Marvel Rivals, offering both a solid defense from her diamond form and some potentially devastating attacks thanks to her psychic abilities. So far though, the only officially confirmed Marvel Rivals characters that haven’t been released yet are the Thing and the Human Torch, who are expected to join their fellow Fantastic Four sometime later this year.
