Reddit user Clawson98 recently took notice of a certain Wolverine-based Spray logo that can be placed on walls in Marvel Rivals, which they shared a screenshot of with r/marvelrivals. This Spray is a half-heart symbol patterned after Wolverine’s classic yellow mask, and Marvel movie fans will recognize it from posters and other promotional material for last year’s Deadpool and Wolverine movie. Naturally, Clawson98 and other Reddit users think this is a sign that Deadpool himself will eventually be added to Marvel Rivals, complete with a Spray of his half of the heart symbol.
Deadpool Could Be Added to Marvel Rivals Someday
To say that Deadpool is popular among Marvel fans would be an understatement, as the wisecracking Merc with a Mouth has been headlining movies and appearing in games like Marvel's Midnight Suns for the past several years. Many Marvel Rivals players feel the gun-toting antihero would be a great fit for the game, and Wade Wilson is often near the top of character polls and fan wishlists. There are fan animations of what Deadpool would look like in Marvel Rivals, and players can already unlock a banner featuring him to decorate their profiles.
Many Marvel Rivals fans seem to agree that Deadpool would fit well as a Duelist given his penchant for firearms and explosives, and his fourth-wall-breaking antics could make for some entertaining gameplay should NetEase decide to introduce a version of the Merc with a Mouth to its successful multiplayer title.
