A Marvel Rivals fan recently came up with an excellent concept design for Cyclops that could fit in perfectly with the hero shooter's distinctive art style. Although Cyclops is not yet available in the Marvel Rivals roster, the community has been exhibiting significant demand for the addition of the prominent X-Men character.
Cyclops is one of the most renowned X-Men members in the Marvel universe thanks to his unique ability to fire psionic laser beams from his eyes. To control the unchecked power of his optic lasers, Cyclops wears a visor on his face, which has become his defining aesthetic feature over the years. He's also a founding member and the leader of the X-Men in the comics, making Cyclops' omission from Marvel Rivals a bit odd, especially since the game features other X-Men characters like Magneto, Wolverine, Storm, Magik, Psylocke, and Scarlet Witch.

While developer NetEase Games has yet to confirm whether Cyclops will join Marvel Rivals down the line, players have taken it upon themselves in the meantime to envision what the X-Men leader may look and play like in the hero shooter. A few months ago, one Marvel Rivals fan designed a full kit for Cyclops that outlined some potential attacks and abilities he could possess. Now, Reddit user Responsible-Ad394 has gone the extra mile with an all-out Marvel Rivals concept design for Cyclops that impeccably incorporates the game's art style.
Marvel Rivals Fan Designs Extremely Convincing Cyclops Character Concept
The concept design shows Cyclops standing proud in a brown and blue X-Men uniform, complete with red and yellow accents, the utility belt, "X" chest emblem, and of course, his iconic yellow visor. To top it off, Responsible-Ad394 positioned their Cyclops concept design against a background with a stylized silhouette of the character to make it look almost exactly like a Marvel Rivals hero profile. Needless to say, several Reddit users admitted in the comments that they were initially tricked into believing the Cyclops design was a leaked character for Marvel Rivals, and subsequently felt disappointed that it was just a concept.
There's clearly a lot of demand for Cyclops in Marvel Rivals, so it remains to be seen if NetEase Games is cognizant of the same and plans to add him to the hero shooter's playable roster in the near future. Since Cyclops is a powerful character in the comics, it should be interesting to see how Marvel Rivals could adapt his psionic lasers. Long-range combat is almost a given, but melee attacks could be tricky. However, if bizarre characters like Jeff the Land Shark can be in Marvel Rivals, then Cyclops doesn't seem too optimistic a choice.
