All Cloak & Dagger Abilities In Marvel Rivals
When playing Cloak & Dagger in Marvel Rivals, you can switch between both characters to get access to their separate abilities. Thankfully, they function fairly similarly, with each of their abilities having similar tactics and playstyles. The real challenge with this duo is knowing when to switch between healing (Dagger) and damage (Cloak).
Each has a barrier of sorts that they can shoot out as a rectangle (Veil of Lightforce or Terror Cape) to either boost healing for allies or make enemies blind and vulnerable. Their primary attack isn't aim-intensive, and you can heal up teammates or finish off low-health enemies fairly quickly by switching between the two characters. They share their Ultimate Ability, which allows you to create a large zone of healing for allies, but also damages enemies if they get in the way. Here are all of their abilities in more detail.

Tips & Tricks For Playing Cloak & Dagger In Marvel Rivals
Cloak & Dagger are a three-star difficulty hero, and each has strong abilities that can support your teammates, with the main difference being that Dagger focuses on healing, while Cloak focuses on protecting allies and blinding and damaging enemies. The key to success with this duo, as mentioned before, is knowing when to switch between the two. Making full use of each of their abilities is essential to getting the most value out of them.
- Cloak can provide life-saving advantages for his team by using his fade (Dark Teleportation) to make himself and any nearby enemies immune to incoming threats and damage. With perfect timing, this can be used to help everyone survive several notable Ultimates, such as Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Namor, Storm, Moon Knight, and more. Essentially, you want to use this ability primarily as a way to negate impactful abilities and save as many of your teammates in a situation as possible, rather than panicking and wasting it the moment you are targeted.
- As Dagger, always place your healing sphere (Dagger Storm) when possible before switching to Cloak. This can make all of the difference if you're being pressured into dealing damage and defending yourself, as the sphere is an AOE that grants healing over time, helping you or your allies to stay alive for a moment until you can make the safe switch back to Dagger.
- While the temptation to cycle your cooldown as quickly as possible to try and maximize healing may be tempting, this is actually very detrimental. For example, Dagger's Veil of Lightforce (healing window) is best used when one or more of your Vanguards or other teammates are taking too much damage, as it will not only heal them but also boost incoming heals, enabling you to top them up and potentially stop their death. The same idea works for Cloak's fade, as it is often better to wait and use it for upcoming key enemy Ultimates or key cooldowns that you know are on their way, rather than wasting it on a quick escape or reposition.
- Dagger can heal herself and others, even when she's not hitting her shots! A huge advantage to both Cloak and Dagger is that their primary fire abilities are both lock-on. Cloak deals lock-on chip damage over time, whilst Dagger launches healing projectiles. However, the important thing to note is that Dagger's projectiles heal in an AOE, and can bounce off walls and floors. If you're struggling to hit a target, then throwing daggers in their general direction or bouncing them off of nearby walls or floors will still provide slow heals, even to Dagger herself. Use this to stay alive when you are in a pinch and have no other means of restoring health.
- Cloak & Dagger's Ultimate can be used to paint an AOE on the ground by dashing around the area. This AOE heals allies and damages enemies, with the healing being very significant as long as your team actually stands within the AOE. However, the AOE will always fall to the ground, so if you're being targeted by enemy Ultimates like Squirrel Stampede or Peni Mines, you can use Cloak's fade to launch yourself into the sky, do sky dashes, and have your AOE fall down onto the objective below.
