NetEase reveals all sorts of hero data in Marvel Rivals, letting fans see who is the most picked, least picked, and who has the highest win rate through the first month. Marvel Rivals has stormed out of the gates after launching in early December, becoming a massive hit for developer NetEase who now looks to continue that momentum into Season 1.
The big reveal for Season 1 for many fans is the inclusion of The Fantastic Four into Marvel Rivals. All four members will make their debut in the game, with Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman joining at launch, followed by The Human Torch and The Thing sometime during the middle of the season. With new content on the horizon, NetEase is taking one last look back at the first month, showcasing the game's most, and least, picked heroes.
Future Marvel Rivals Seasons Will Feature Half the Content of Season 1
NetEase Games makes a statement telling players to expect less content following the conclusion of Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls.
Ahead of the Season 1 launch, NetEase reveals the "Hero Hot List" for Marvel Rivals, letting fans see which characters are the most picked and who wins the most across Quickplay and Competitive prior to the next season. Unsurprisingly, Jeff the Land Shark is a fan-favorite Marvel Rivals character, being the most picked hero for Quickplay matches, while Cloak & Dagger tops the list for Console competitive players and Luna Snow for the competitive PC folks.
Marvel Rivals Most Picked Heroes
- Jeff the Land Shark - Quickplay (PC and Console)
- Cloak & Dagger - Competitive (Console)
- Luna Snow- Competitive (PC)
While Jeff appears to be one of the most popular characters in Marvel Rivals, the land shark isn't the character that has the highest win rate on the roster. Across all roles, platforms, and game modes, Mantis actually takes the number 1 spot. Surprisingly, the Strategist hero has an over 50% win rate in both Quickplay and Competitive (56% and 55% respectively), followed closely by characters like Loki, Hela, and Adam Warlock. As Season 1 of Marvel Rivals launches on January 10, these numbers could drastically change.
On the opposite end of the spectrum is Storm, a Duelist character that has been heavily criticized by fans due to her lackluster damage output and frustrating playstyle. She comes in with a horrific pick rate of 1.66% in Quickplay and an even worse 0.69% in Competitive. However, Storm's fortunes may be about to change as Marvel Rivals revealed balance changes for Season 1, with the X-Man set to recieve plenty of buffs.
