Some Marvel Rivals players are asking NetEase Games to nerf the ultimate abilities of both Moon Knight and Squirrel Girl, as they feel the Duelists have become overpowered. Marvel Rivals recently launched Season 3, which introduced a new free cosmetic type called Accessories. Players can earn Accessory Points simply by playing matches over the course of a week.

Moon Knight and Squirrel Girl are both Duelists in Marvel Rivals, which means their primary goal is to dish out as much damage as possible while removing enemies from the battlefield. NetEase Games recently added the mutant Jean Grey to the game's roster as a Duelist, and it's rumored that Blade will also be a Duelist when he makes his debut later in the season. While a lot of gamers enjoy filling the DPS role, many Marvel Rivals players have complained about the number of Duelists in the game. Currently, Duelists far outnumber both Vanguards and Strategists.

In a recent post on Reddit, STB_LuisEnriq suggested that NetEase Games should nerf the ultimate abilities of both Moon Knight and Squirrel Girl in Marvel Rivals. While they don't seem to have a problem with how much damage the abilities dish out, they have taken issue with just how quickly the ultimates seem to recharge. STB_LuisEnriq claimed that these heroes, who both deal significant aoe damage, dominate Quick Play and the lower ranks of Competitive due to their ability to recharge their ultimates so quickly. The player even claimed that they came up against a Squirrel Girl who managed to use her ultimate ability four times before reaching the first point on a convoy map.

While several people suggested that Marvel Rivals' Moon Knight doesn't feel overpowered in Season 3, many fans agreed that Squirrel Girl presents a serious problem on the battlefield. STB_LuisEnriq pointed out that Squirrel Girl's ultimate can be countered by damaging the horde of squirrels that she summons, but some people have claimed that the hitbox feels inconsistent. Several gamers shared their own experiences where Squirrel Girl seemed to recharge her ultimate unnaturally fast and turned the tide of a battle.

While it's unlikely that NetEase Games will make any immediate changes to Squirrel Girl or Moon Knight, Marvel Rivals always makes balancing adjustments at the start of a season and during the major mid-season update. A recent roadmap revealed that Marvel Rivals' Season 3.5 update will be launching on August 8, which is when players will likely see the next wave of balance adjustments debut. With a whole new season to enjoy and even more content just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.
