Cree Summer, veteran actress of both the screen and the voice over booth, is the latest to join Marvel's upcoming highly-anticipated Disney+ series Ironheart. The show has been racking up the names lately, so at this point, it might even be quicker to name who won't appear.

Ironheart just got a bit of an attention surge thanks to a new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever clip featuring Dominique Thorne in her first appearance as series lead Riri Williams. But it already had the momentum thanks to the beloved comics serving as inspiration as well as the steady stream of big names joining up over the past year. Now, Summer has joined the esteemed cast in an undisclosed role, but it's sure to be a fun one.

The report comes from Deadline, which had little else to say other than that Marvel has declined to comment at this time. Even so, there are tons of possibilities for Summer, given her fantastic aptitude in front of the camera and behind the mic. From classic cartoons like Inspector Gadget to recent hits like Destiny 2 and beyond, she's been lending her voice to so many projects over her career that everyone is bound to recognize her from somewhere. She even showed up in an episode of What We Do in the Shadows, further proving her on-screen prowess as well.

Summer's involvement isn't the only news, as Deadline also reports an update to the recent tip that Sacha Baron Cohen would appear in Ironheart as the devilish Mephisto. While the part about Mephisto appears to still be a rumor, new information could lend credence to that theory. Reportedly, he will only appear in later episodes of the series. Not only that, but it's been suggested that Cohen has gone through some scans for CGI effects, which heavily suggest he'll go through some sort of physical transformation.

Ironheart stars Thorne as Riri Williams, a young genius whose own design of power armor turns out to be the most advanced of its kind since Iron Man himself. It also features In The Heights star Anthony Ramos as supervillain The Hood along with an eclectic cast of other impressive names. This includes, but isn't limited to, Lyric Ross from This is Us, Westworld's Manny Montana, and even Solo: A Star Wars Story's Alden Ehrenreich.

Ironheart was already shaping up to boast a stellar cast, and this latest news just further proves that trend. Here's hoping it turns out to be a series worthy of the all-star talent it's come to welcome into its ranks.

Ironheart is set to premiere on Disney+ in late 2023.
