This is once again the case with Mario Tennis Fever, which boasts an impressive 38 playable characters at launch, ranging from long-time fan favorites like Waluigi and Rosalina to more obscure characters like Dry Bowser and Petey Piranha.

As with a lot of the other sports-themed Mario titles, though, a lot of the playable characters in Mario Tennis Fever need to be unlocked. There are 20 unlockable characters in total, and while the game does let players know how to unlock every character on the character select screen, their names and identities are grayed out, which might make it difficult to tell who's who if you're only familiar with mainline Mario games.
