Accessories can be some of the most important pieces of gear players will find in an RPG and Mario & Luigi: Brothership has a lot to offer. Some good early examples include the Treasure Specs and the Arc Scope. The Treasure Specs can increase the drop rate of enemies and the Arc Scope can increase EXP earned in the active turn-based battles.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership - Best Early Game Accessories
Players don't have to wait too long to get their hands on solid accessories in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. These are the best to equip early game.
Both are great accessories that players are surely going to use up until the endpoint. Accessories like those aren't handy for big boss battles in Mario & Luigi: Brothership though, so let's go through some better options to equip.
8 Delicious Bangle
Stache 3
- Bonus Effect: Items Heal 50% More
- Location: Heatfreeze Island
The Delicious Bangle can be found in a treasure chest on Heatfreeze Island. It’s a good accessory to equip on the brother tasked with healing the most. The accessory will boost a healing item’s effect by 50% meaning that players can get it by buying cheaper versions of things like Mushrooms. For example, a Super Mushroom can heal 70 HP normally but with the Delicious Bangle equipped, it will heal more like 105 HP. It’s a common boost in most RPG health systems that also support accessories.
7 HP+BP Bangle
Jump Attack 3/Hammer Attack 3/Defense 1
- Bonus Effect: HP And BP Restored By 3% At The End Of The Hero’s Turn
- Location: Shipshape Island
The HP+BP Bangle is part of one of the longer side quests in the game. There are reefs players can find while sailing around the world and an NPC named Isaa Rock is interested in their history. By finding them all, Isaa will reward players with the HP+BP Bangle on Shipshape Island. It will restore HP and BP at the end of a character’s turn by a small percentage. BP, or Brother Points as a reminder, is like MP in RPGs with magic systems.
6 Luck Charm DX
Speed 3
- Bonus Effect: Getting Lucky Is Two Times Likelier
- Location: N/A
To get the Luck Charm DX, players need to be, well, lucky. Luck is a common stat in RPGs and in Mario & Luigi: Brothership it manifests itself as Stache points. In this world, the healthier the mustache, the more powerful the character, and these two plumbers sport some hefty ones.
There are in-game challenges and if players complete them in battle, they will be rewarded with prizes mostly in the form of beans that will permanently raise stats. Sometimes an accessory will drop too like the Luck Charm DX which can be acquired after getting 250 Lucky hits in battle.
5 Rainbow Medallion
All Stats +5 (Except HP And BP)
- Bonus Effect: Enemies More Likely To Target Equipped Hero
- Location: Daintye Islet
The Rainbow Medallion is the best medallion-type accessory in the game following the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum editions. All medallions will boost stats except for HP and BP. There is a downside to equipping them in that monsters will be more likely to attack the equipped hero. If both brothers wear a medallion then that effect be canceled out. Players will probably sell most medallions as they are a good way to earn Gold Coins, the currency of this RPG. Players should definitely keep the Rainbow Medallion though which can be found in a chest on Daintye Isle.
4 Roulette Gloves
Boost Random Stat Each Turn
- Location: Billdit’s Workshop (Shipshape Island)
The Roulette Gloves can be purchased through Billdit’s Workshop on Shipshape Island. Billdit has a lot of great gear and if players make something through a side quest in Mario & Luigi: Brothership then Billdit will stock it later. The Roulette Gloves will not boost any stats upon initially equipping them. However, after every turn in battle, the equipped hero will boost a random stat. It’s a risk to equip them but sometimes a high Luck stat through Stache points can guarantee better results.
3 Stash Stache Gloves
Stache 33
- Bonus Effect: Stache Boosted By Owned Plugs
- Location: Billdit’s Workshop (Shipshape Island)
The Stash Stache Gloves can also be purchased through Billdit’s Workshop. It’s one of several accessories in the game that will boost Stache points based on something gathered. For example, this accessory in particular will raise Stache points based on the number of Plugs gathered in Mario & Luigi: Brothership.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership - Every Bros. Move, Ranked
They may look weird, but these skills can get these two plumbers far while exploring.
Plugs are like accessories but they run on cooldowns in battle and they are game changers. A similar accessory, the Golden Stache Gloves, will boost Stache points based on the number of Gold Coins players are carrying.
2 Technikki Wrench
BP Boosted By 30%, Jump And Hammer Attack Boosted By 10%, HP Lowered By 20%
- Location: Shipshape Island
The Technikki Wrench sounds like a weapon these plumbers would use in battle but it is indeed an accessory. It’s the reward for completing the Technikki’s Past side quest in the game. Technikki is a quirky inventor who eventually joins the core group on Shipshape Island and this side quest requires players to go back to her lab on Merrygo Island. The accessory will boost BP and attack power by a good amount at the cost of HP. The Technikki Wrench is a good accessory for players who like to favor offense over defense.
1 Validation Gloves
Defense And Speed Boosted By 15% When Bros. Attacks Reach Excellent
- Location: Billdit’s Workshop (Shipshape Island)
The Validation Gloves are the last accessory that can be purchased from Billdit’s Workshop. It will boost the Defense and Speed stats whenever players score an Excellent on their Bros. Attacks in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. Bros. Attacks use BP and they are elaborate skills that deal a hefty amount of damage at the cost of being hard to pull off. Getting an Excellent, the top rating, on some of them can be near impossible like the Too Who Cannon ability, for players that like using Bros. Attacks in battle often, this is a helpful accessory.
