S Tier Mario Kart World Tracks

Rainbow Road

  • A track as expansive as it is beautiful. Racing through Rainbow Road for the first time is rewarding and an experience like no other, which is why this surprise unlock will always be so memorable. Rainbow Road doesn't just impress with its visuals, as the track itself is filled with unique settings for fast gameplay that never feels too punishing like other variants of Rainbow Road.

Airship Fortress

  • An absolute blast to play through, Airship Fortress is a course that doesn't shy away from its frenzy, providing plenty of fun and stress with its many obstacles and unique turns that will have players trying to figure out the fastest and safest route to first place.

Toad's Factory

  • A returning track that's all about high adrenaline, Toad's Factory has plenty of fun shortcuts, speeding platforms, and boosts to ensure that players are zooming through the course in just a few short minutes, without sacrificing the fun factor.

DK Spaceport

  • A gigantic track that showcases the power of the Nintendo Switch 2, DK Spaceport is visually stunning, long, and joyful. The robotic Donkey Kong chases players through a track that's reminiscent of the original Donkey Kong arcade game, albeit with a retro-futuristic twist that has players experiment on walls, bounce on pads, and avoid barrels as they traverse up winding beams to reach the finish line.

Great? Block Ruins

  • For new players, Great? Block Ruins might confuse them, especially with its track layout that boasts so many opportunities for experimental shortcuts. While challenging, Great? Block Ruins is a celebrated track for veterans and those who seek fast thrills, as there are plenty of ways to pull ahead in a sweeping course in the sky.

Bowser's Castle

  • It's terrifying, epic, and huge, as all Bowser's Castles are. The Bowser Castle featured here is a massive course with some truly game-changing shortcuts, allowing players to enjoy the thrill of lava obstacles with fast turns and even faster karting roads.

Acorn Heights

  • There are some wonderful vibes associated with Acorn Heights, a course that makes players feel so small, yet so fast as they race across a giant tree and forest. Bouncing across leaves and mushrooms, players are in for a thrill ride to remember.

Boo Cinema

  • An enchanting and immersive experience takes players directly into the film reel of scares, beginning with a boardwalk that feels like any wrong turn or misplaced drift will send players plummeting to their end. As players ride through the track and enter the movie screen, they're met with a film reel of frights and immense turns.

Peach Beach

  • Immaculate resort vibes bless Peach Beach, and as players race across waters and sandy beaches, they must fight off and avoid the dreaded Cataquacks. Obstacles aside, Peach Beach seems far more expansive in this remake, sending players across the resort with opportunities to ride walls, glide, and have a thrilling time across varying laps of short and fast pace.

Moo Moo Meadows

  • Another classic that's riddled with cows as obstacles, players are going to need to be careful as they traverse these humble fields of grazing cows. Moo Moo Meadows is a beloved track for a reason, keeping things simple as players race to be the best in a course that doesn't need to be complex to be one of the most fun.

Whistlestop Summit

  • Whistlestop Summit has a unique design to it, adorned with rails for karts to grind on as they attempt to speed off into first place. It's a relatively simple track, but one that players can turn into a speed demon's thrill ride if they know exactly when to drift, grind, wall ride, and boost so that they can experiment with a victory lap.

Dino Dino Jungle

  • A romping ride through a laboratory filled with roaming dinosaurs, the obstacles are breathtakingly huge as stomping dinos prove that this course is their kingdom, and players will have a few avenues of travel as they ride up these obstacles or avoid them to try and get through a thrilling course.

DK Pass

  • Another classic track that will have players constantly on their toes as they stay aware of the sharp corners, logs in the path, and snowboarding Shy Guys that might act as obstacles. DK Pass is a lengthy track with plenty of turns and avenues for players to take as they battle it out for a snowy first-place victory.

Wario Stadium

  • Wall-riding and ramp jumping galore, Wario's Stadium knows how to thrill its racers with its intense track that has plenty of opportunities for players to boost into first place if they know how to skillfully take advantage of the track's layout.

Koopa Troopa Beach

  • If players are seeking a thrilling course from start to finish, then Koopa Troopa Beach is the one to try. This course is 5 laps of pure fun, where simplicity rules over all else. Koopa Troopa Beach is a simple circle, and because it's so small, anyone has a chance of winning.

Mario Circuit

  • An OG track with familiar settings, but with a modern twist. Mario Circuit has everything players remember, but with a few boost jumps and more forgiving turns to make for a fun race that doesn't rely on the utmost precision.

Mario Bros. Circuit

  • The newest version of Mario Circuit comes with a simplistic design to make it beginner-friendly, and that's why this course works so well. It's engaging, despite its simplicity, and veterans are surely going to enjoy finding thrilling ways to shortcut themselves into first place.

B Tier Mario Kart World Tracks

Starview Peak

  • A lengthy track that feels safe for the most part, where players are rarely in danger from obstacles and cliffs, but that doesn't take away from the joy that one feels when riding on the fast ice of Starview Peak.

Cheep Cheep Falls

  • If players want something that's visually stunning, then Cheep Cheep Falls is the course for them. The Japanese aesthetic is wonderful on Cheep Cheep Falls, but it suffers from plenty of underwater sections, which are still fun when one is riding through the chaotic currents of rushing water that never stops.

Choco Mountain

  • Choco Mountain has a layer of intensity to its sugary design with unwinding cliff edges that players will need to drift across as they try to dodge chocolate boulders and Chargin' Chucks that roam the course. The fun is easily present here, even if it's dangerous.

Dry Bones Burnout

  • A track filled with lava and wavy corners that will constantly have players hopping between platforms as they try to stay afloat and in first place. Dry Bones Burnout is a fun track that will require players to play well if they are to survive.

Sky-High Sundae

  • Sky-High Sundae is a colorful frenzy filled with carefully curated jumps that players must use with precision if they do not want to fall off the edge of the track to their doom. With immense color, this bouncy track will have players on their toes.

Peach Stadium

  • Peach Stadium feels like a course with a classic design, with minor obstacles in the form of other NPC vehicles. Once players are past these vehicles, players have exhilarating turns to look forward to as they race across Peach's Castle on a track far above the roads.

Faraway Oasis

  • A beautiful track filled with majestic animals, Faraway Oasis is a lot of fun with its rather simplistic track design and reliance on intense waterfall sections that will have players clutching the drift controls to ensure they never falter.

C Tier Mario Kart World Tracks

Desert Hills

  • Desert Hills is a relatively safe course, providing familiar treads, albeit with a twist of sandy stone enemies that will charge towards players to prevent them from crossing the finish line. Despite these obstacles and the bends, Desert Hills feels pretty standard.

Crown City

  • Crown City is an impressive track with visual skyscrapers, but it has a few drawbacks. Much of the track is a straight road that lacks items and ways to boost forward, providing whoever is in 1st place with an easy escape to victory, while punishing players left behind. Even if the high-up sections are fun, they are short-lived.

Shy Guy Bazaar

  • Considered a classic track by many Shy Guy Bazaar is colorful, with an adoring market, but a course that seems rather tight to race across, especially when there are now 24 characters on the scene at any given time. The small nature of this course makes it a frenzy, and a rather frustrating one.

Wario's Galleon

  • High octane is the aim of the game with Wario Shipyard, but a course that focuses so high on the thrills of going fast can't help but slow players down with its heavy currents from splashing waves in water sections. The infestation of too much water delays speed and keeps the adrenaline from being at an all-time high in the final moments of the race.

Salty Salty Speedway

  • Salty Salty Speedway is another course that simply has too much water, providing players with a course with sharp turns and crashing waves that make moving around into first place a burden if they don't bring the right setup.

Dandelion Depths

  • A beautiful surprise waits in Dandelion Depths, as despite the standard vibes of this course, there's an entire underground cave that will provide players with plenty of avenues for success, but one that doesn't last that long before players are back to a standard course that descends briefly into chaos.
