How to Get Three Stars in the Knockout Tour in Mario Kart World

Players will only obtain three stars in a Knockout Tour rally cup if they manage to stay in 1st place for all 6 laps on 150 CC. This means that players have to cross the finish line in first place for every lap, and failing to do so, even for just one lap, means they will forfeit the 3 stars. If players manage to beat the final lap in 1st place, they will win Knockout Tour and receive a gold trophy, but if they do so without staying in 1st place after crossing all previous finish lines, they will not gain stars.

It's important to note that there is no reward for completing a Knockout Tour Rally with 3 stars and a gold cup, even if players complete all 8 rallies.

How to Win in the Knockout Tour in Mario Kart World

Winning Knockout Tour and consistently staying in 1st place can be a real bother sometimes, and players will constantly be outplayed by the AI or shot down by Red Shells and Blue Shells before they can reach the finish line. If players are struggling to get 3 stars in Knockout Tour, try a Heavy character with the Reel Racer, as this kart combo provides players with fast stats that they will need for the long stretches of road. It's also important to note that this is a subtle way of manipulating the AI, as the other racers will perform better and drive faster if players are keen to drift and wall-ride, so try to use Items and avoid skillful play to keep that first-place lead throughout the six laps.
