How To Enable Mirror Mode In Free Roam
First, Unlock Normal Mirror Mode
To unlock Mirror Mode in Free Roam, Mario Kart World players must first unlock Mirror Mode for Grand Prix. To do this, you must complete every Grand Prix on 150cc, every Knockout Tour rally on 150cc, then complete the Special Cup. You do not need to place first in any of these races, you just need to complete the course.
Then swap to Free Roam. Complete 10 P-Switch Challenges, collect 10x Peach Medals, and drive over 10x? Blocks on the ground. After you fulfill these requirements, play the Special Cup Grand Prix again, and after the results screen at the end of the race you will unlock Mirror Mode.
Then, Drive Into The Stained Glass Atop Peach's Castle
After unlocking Mirror Mode, Mario Kart World players should go back to the main menu and enter Free Roam. Either drive to, or Fast Travel to, Peach's Stadium in the south-center of the map. Drive along the course until you reach the rear of Peach's Castle in the middle of the course.

Drop off of the course and onto the roof of Peach's Castle. Carefully navigate to the front, then drive into the gigantic stained glass portrait of Peach – the same one you that is displayed in the cutscene that plays after unlocking Mirror Mode.
You will disappear for a moment, then pop out onto the Peach's Stadium course. The entire landscape will be reversed, and you can freely explore the open world with this secret Mario Kart World Free Roam Mirror Mode enabled.
When Does Mirror Mode Free Roam End?
After you pop out of the stained glass, you are free to drive around Mario Kart World's Free Roam Mirror Mode world until you return to the main menu. If you exit Free Roam, Mirror Mode will deactivate. The next time you enter Free Roam, you will have to go back to Peach Stadium and drive into the stained glass if you want to play MKW Free Roam Mirror Mode again.
