As the first course in the Mushroom Cup, one of the first Mario Kart World tracks that many players will experience is Mario Bros. Circuit. It's a relatively straightforward course, but if you know where to look, you can take advantage of the few shortcuts Mario Bros. Circuit offers.
How To Unlock Costumes In Mario Kart World
You can get costumes and skins in Mario Kart World either by being victim to a Kamek item or by looking for particular food items in the world.
Generally, you need to have a boost item to make it through a shortcut. However, if you can master your drifting skills, there is one Mario Bros. Circuit shortcut with a tight interior corner that will allow skilled players to cut a lot of time without boosting.
Every Mario Bros. Circuit Shortcut In Mario Kart World
All Shortcuts In Mario Bros. Circuit
Shortcut #1: Drift The Interior Of The Full Turn Halfway Through The Course
There are not many shortcuts in Mario Bros. Circuit Mario Kart World players can take advantage of in the first half of the course. However, if you have a kart with a good Handling rating, you can drift around the interior of the giant circular corner about halfway through the race to save some serious time.
This is not a traditional shortcut, but if you can master drifting and stay on the very interior edge of this 360-degree right turn, you will zoom past opponents as if you had taken a shortcut.
Shortcut #2: Boost Through The Middle Of The Fork
About three-quarters through Mario Bros. Circuit Mario Kart World players will encounter the first major shortcut. The road forks into two paths, separated by a lower dirt-filled area. Normally, this terrain is difficult to drive on, but if you have a way to boost, you can jump between the paths and save a few seconds.
Drive off the edge in between the fork, perform a trick in mid-air for a small landing boost, then use your boost item as soon as you land to propel yourself back onto the road.
Mario Kart World: How to Unlock All Characters
Mario Kart World has 18 unlockable characters to play as, and here's how to get them all.
Shortcut #3: Boost To Cut The Final Turn
Immediately after the fork in the road meets back together, you will see the final corner of the course. On the interior left side of this final leg of the race, you will see a dirt area. Once again, if you use a boost item to get through this area, you can cut the final corner of the race and propel yourself to the finish line.
This shortcut only works if you approach the final corner from the left or center shortcut of the fork.
Shortcut #4: A Secret Grindable Rail Left Of Start
Immediately to the left of the start line on Mario Bros. Circuit you will see a group of tires. If you boost through these tires, you will start grinding on a secret rail that takes you around the first corner.
This cuts the first corner much tighter than the road, and you will build up boost while grinding, too. Jump off the rail before it ends to get back on the road and continue the rest of the course.
This is very difficult to reach at the start of the race. However, if you start on the left side of the starting group and perform a successful starting boost, you should go fast enough to blast through the tires and take advantage of this shortcut.
Be careful, though: if you aren't actively boosting when you hit the tires, you may just bump into them and lose all of your momentum.
